Okay, now that the forums are back up and I have killed a few thousand elves in DF 2010, it's time for a new turn. Diakron seems to have forgotten this RTD, so he and Flintus are on auto once again.

Turn 11

Get pissed and smash through the door to the barricaded house.

(6) Annoyed by the failed attempt at opening the door, you decide to just try again. Remembering how you opened the door last time, you take a few steps back. You get into the Olympic running position ,push yourself off the ground with a start and run with all your bulky power. As you get close to the door, you pull your head back and then crash it with all your might into the barricade. You blackout and wake up a few moments later. As you look around, you see that you made a rather sizable entrance to the barricaded house. You feel a little dazed, but hey, at least the door is open now.

Buttons attempts to 'kite' the ugly face while firing shots when able.

(5) As you see the Ugly walking towards you, you get a silent grin on your face. Time for some more target practice. You use your speed to your advantage and zip around your enemy without him even noticing your departure. Coming to a stop behind him, you take your slingshot and load another one of your stones. You put it up behind his head and before he even has the time to turn around, fire the stone pointblank. SPLAT! That is the only sound you hear as his head pops open and parts of his brain fly through the air. Seconds later his dead body hits the ground and you put a foot on his chest while striking a victorious pose. You feel that your legs have gotten stronger.

Practice pyromancy where it is safe: The light side!

(5) Having had enough of those weird sounds on the dark side, you go back to the light side and try to use some pyromancy. You sit down in the lotus position and start to concentrate solely on creating and mending fire to your will. As you sink into your thoughts, a spark suddenly appears in front of you. You move your hands around the spark and make it grow into a little flame the size of a candle light. Soon, you have a well-fed fireball in your hands. You balance it on your finger like a basketball and juggle around with it. After a while, you throw it against the ground not far away, where it erupts into a huge explosion. Smiling to yourself, you feel more confident using fire.

I focus on my staff, trying to get it to do... well, anything really.

(3) Having dealt with the annoying vermin that is the Ugly Face, you move your attention to the mystical staff that you are still bringing with you. You hold it up in front of you, trying to get it to do something. When nothing happens, you wonder and just stare at it for a while. As you sit, you notice Faden playing around with a fireball. As you think about the flame, you suddenly notice your staff reacting. The ball at the top changes its color and starts to glow red. You look at it for a while unsure what to do.

I go to the barricaded house with the big crazy guy and practice with my warhammer. Not on him or the barricaded house.

(6) You walk around town again till you come across Gray. He seems to have built himself a little safe-house here. Deciding that there's probably no danger here, you settle down and start a little training session with your hammer. You swing it around the air, contemplating every movement as if you were fighting a real enemy. As you where swinging around however, (4) it seems like you've gotten a little too excited and hit the barricaded house in the side. You hear a loud crack as the side gives in and the house tumbles down. It might still be fixable, but it's gonna take some time or teamwork. Oh boy, Gray's gonna be pissed.

Relax and wait for the horde

(6) Having nothing better to do, you decide it's time for a little rest. You lie down on the ground with your trusty rapier at your side and make yourself comfortable. Relaxing and looking at the sky, you just wait there for some action. Soon, you start looking at the shapes of the cloud's and the beautiful sun and ... the clouds ... and the sky ... and the sun. Damn that's boring. So boring in fact, that you soon close your eyes and drift off to sleep. A sleeping guy sure will look like easy bait to your enemies.

Quote from: McCoy (Flintus10)
I activate my Crystal Armor again and try to get used to moving around in it.

(3) You put your hand on the diamond again, firing up the armor. As it slings around you, you can feel it restraining your movement a bit, so you decide to train moving around while having it turned on. You start by walking around, then trying to run and jump, but no matter how you try, it just seems like it will take quite some time to get used to the immense weight and tightness of the crystal. Disappointed, you sit down and stare at your armor. Even if it's hard to move around in it, it still offers quite some protection.

Quote from: Richard (Diakron)
I train with my hammer while trying to find out if it has any special abilities.

(5) You also decide to train using your hammer. Swinging it around in a circular pattern and repeating the same motions over and over, you try to get used to the huge weight of the weapon. As you keep on swinging, you hit the hammer onto the floor, discharging the energy into the ground. Suddenly you feel the ground move. As you look forward, you see bulks of stone smashing up through the ground, destroying anything in it's path. The stone wave stops about 100 feet infront of you, leaving a pretty big hole in the wall of the storage. Even your lizard had to jump into the air to evade it. You look at your hammer in astonishment while the dust from the powerful attack settles down.

As everything quiets down you get this weird feeling again. Faden, who is still close to the middle of town, notes something weird. The line that splits the town in two has started to move! You can hear the distant sounds of Ugly Faces as the line closes in. You have the feeling that they are almost here.

Sorry, Diakron but your action is a little late. Still, the outcome would have been pretty much the same.

Also, you might want to fix that house, because it's gonna get nasty outside in a while.

All the actions in for a change. :D

Turn 12

Attempt to help repair the barricade house. use boards from this now destroyed warehouse as raw supplies

(4+1) As you walk around town, you see Wemic and Gray standing next to a collapsed house. Unsure what's going on, you walk to them and ask them. After a short explanation by Gray, you decide to help out. You use your hammer to break a nearby house and use the broken wood as material to reconstruct the other one. It takes you quite some time, but board for board you fix the safe-house back to its previous state. The barricade is also repaired and this time the door is actually open-able. While finishing the construction, you actually went as far as improving the stability of the house and the strength of the barricade. You marvel at your work, feeling a little more experienced in fixing things.

Keep practicing I think it'd be best to learn how to use this armor.

(5) You stand back up, pumped full with energy. Just because it didn't work once doesn't mean it'll never work. You just have to try harder! So that's exactly what you do. You set yourself a long lane around town and sprint with all your power. Jumping and turning and sprinting and more jumping. After all this exercise, you come to a stop and drop to the floor, trying to catch your breath. All that running sure was hard on you, but with the training you feel a little more freedom. The armor feels much lighter and easier to move. (-1 to movement negated)

Hmm... I try thinking about different elements, trying to cycle the staff through them.

(3) Seeing as to what just happened when you thought about fire, you come up with a plan. You concentrate really hard on different elements and try to get your staff to react to your thoughts and change the color of the ball. First, you think of water and as you look at your ball, you see that it's glowing blue. Afterward, you try many different elements you can think of, but the staff only reacted to two more. When you thought of earth or stone, the ball turned brown and as you thought of air, the ball turned gray. You switch through your known elements so far for a while, until you can't think of anymore.

Buttons runs to where ever non-ugly-faced people are and tries to pull out the splinters.

(1) Being annoyed by one of those Ugly Faces wasn't fun, so you decide to join the team before more of them appear. You turn around and start running. As you sprint towards your allies, you try to pull out the splinters that have been lodged into your muffiny skin for quite some time. However, when you're about halfway there, you trip on a inconveniently place stone and face-plant into the ground. As you try to get up, you feel some pain and notice that the splinters have lodged themselves in even further.

Write a quick note saying "Please do not take." and put it on my rapier. Continue dreaming.

(1) (I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do with this one :-\) As you try to continue sleeping, the line to the dark side crosses underneath you. As you enter the other side, weird sounds and screams start echoing from afar. The growls and other sounds are so annoying, that they wake you from your sleep. You try going back to dreamland, but the noises always get you right back up. Grumpily, you stand up and take your rapier in your hand, readying for a fight.

I'll wake up CJ if he's around, and practice with my hammer some more. Skill increase, you will be mine! I'll practice on any uglies who show up.

(3) Seeing as to how Tybalt woke himself up, there's no need to do it for him. So instead you decide to train with your hammer some more, since your last training was interrupted by the house crashing down. You take your trust hammer and start swinging it around as if you were fighting one of the uglies. Sadly, none of the actual Ugly Faces feel like fighting a huge half-lion, half-human creature. So you just have to make due with your imaginary enemy. After a while, you stop killing the air, since it doesn't seem to have any effect on your skill. It looks like you will have to find yourself a enemy to take your raeg out on. (Yes, that misspell was on purpose.)

Get some supplies, and start to fortify and barricade the entire street!

(6) You get your little Porta-Supply to spew out some more wood on the pile and then start fortifying every house in the block. Taking and sharpening pieces of wood, you make the spikes and use your hammer to ram them into the ground around the houses. Going through the same routine over and over, you barricade about 4 more houses. As you finish the last one and prepare to go back to the pile to get some more supplies, you notice that you can't open the door. It seems you finished the fortification while you were inside and now you've locked yourself in. The doors in this town just don't seem to like the group very much.

Help Ninteen barricade the street by raising some earthen barriers.

(4) Seeing Gray at work, you think that you should help him out a little, so you put your hand on the ground and call to mother earth. Infront of 5 buildings, stone walls rise from the ground and sling themselves around the houses. They form into huge boxes that keep the whole houses safe. When you remember what happened last time, you make a quick fix and create some doors for the barriers. Getting back to your feet, you smile at your skills and then notice that Gray seems to have gone missing. Being a little worried that he got himself in trouble, you start searching for him.

When the guys were finished with their training, and the others barricaded the houses, almost everybody noticed it. The line that split the town now passed under the barricaded houses and went by the starting house. Everybody was in the dark side of town now, and everyone could feel the threat that was coming their way. With only so little time left before the ambush, all the members of the team hurried to finish everything they still had to do.

Find a nice defensive position, and wait there. Nothing too cornery, as that'd leave me no room to maneuver.

Gah! I can't seem to get much actually done. I'm going to get to the edges of the barricade and scout out to see if I can see any uglies, and warn the others if I do. In other words, sentry duty.
