@Paranatural: I'm just gonna name your character after his race, since you didn't specify any name. And yeah, I figured that too AFTER I posted :P Sorry for my stupidity.

Turn 8

Put on some bloody clothes, already! Then go searching for more people with missing eyes. Perhaps it's a conspiracy.

(2) Once again you put on your clothes. Once again you search for more eye-less, ugly-faced bastards and once more you fail at doing so. It seems like luck just isn't on your side. You keep walking on and on, all over the place, but wherever you look there's only emptiness. No matter how many times you try, you can't find anybody. It almost feels like they're hiding from you.

With that dealt with, I'll run down the street, looking for anything at all different from these empty houses.

(6) After your defeat in the pile-building contest, you start running down the street and look for anything that might seem out-of-the-ordinary. You run quite a while, but when you suddenly get a weird feeling, you stop. You look behind you and notice that you seem to have run past some kind of weird line on the floor. Then you notice something else, or rather somebody else. A weird person is standing not far in front of you. He/she is dressed in a long black robe that hides his/her face. You can also see him/her hold a weird, glowing dagger in his/her right hand. As fast as you saw him/her coming, he/she was gone again. You ponder what just happened for a moment, when suddenly one of those Ugly Faces appears out of nowhere.

look for some metal and wood.

(4) You think up something in your head, that you want to build really badly, so you start searching for some materials. You start thinking really hard about finding some metal and wood. Suddenly you notice that the Porta-Supply started reacting, and took a look at it. Not soon after, it started spewing out loads of metal and wood. When it stops, you have a huge pile of metal and wood in front of you. It seems that the Porta-Supply doesn't spew out items, but rather materials.

Wake up and pick up the hammer. Heck, get both of the hammers!

(5-1) In your dreams, you walk through fields of happy filled with rainbows of fun. Then out of nowhere some dude's face appears and his eyes pop out. That kinda woke you up with a jumping start. After regaining your cool, you look at the hammer that hit you in the head oh-so-conveniently. You decide to take it and the one next for it, but as you reach for the second one, you get competition.

grab hammer continue search

(5-1) You also regain your consciousness after a good, little afternoon sleep. While sitting up you see the headbanging hammer and try to grab it, when you notice that Opal is next to you and trying the same thing. A little spark appears between your eyes. This conflict can only be solved one way ...
STARE-DOWN!
(Faden: 4 Diakron: 5) The competitors get ready for a hard fight. Opal begins by looking at him in such a way, that bridges would crumble and (even more) buildings would collapse. But this doesn't even seem to move Richard. He counter-attacks! His eyes become so clear, it seems like they are staring right into Opal's soul. She tries to hold it ... but Roland was just too good. We have a winner!
After his victory, Roland grabs his hammer and wants to start searching, but he still feels to tired after having just woken up.

Last time I swear. Look for stuff to make slingshot out of.

(1) You still want your slingshot really badly, so you start searching for some more stuff to build it out of. Having had so much trouble with doors, you don't feel like trying to use one again, so you look for a alternative. Not long after, you come across Gray. You see a huge of wood right next to him. Filled with joy, you jump into the pile. Bad idea. After digging yourself out, your muffiness is filled with splinters.

ask someone to tell me about the other side of town.

(6) You look around for somebody to ask about that weird side, when you spot somebody. You run over to him and are about to tap him on the shoulder, when you get a weird feeling. You look back and see the line. It looks like you crossed over to the dark side. (McCoy, I am your father ... Sorry I couldn't resist) As you turn your head forward again, you are greeted by two bloody eye-sockets staring at you. It seems the person noticed you and is not so friendly with strangers.

Assuming there's room for me I'd like to get to the Quantum hole thingy and get some warm leathers and a big frigging war hammer.

(3) Out of nowhere, you appear in the starting room and wonder where you are. You look around for a while and introduce yourself to everybody you see, until you notice the weird hole in the wall. You read the sticky note next to it and think that you could use some sturdy leather clothes and a huge hammer. The Quantum-Supply responds, but sends out some thin leather clothes and a moderately big hammer. It seems like you didn't concentrate enough. Oh well, at least you have some kind of equipment.

NPC Turn

Quote from: Ugly Face #1
He strikes at Dragnar and tries to disarm him.

(3) As he tries to grab your staff, his hand slips and he loses his grip. Angry, he tries to bite you in the neck, but he can't quite reach it. He decides to bite your arm instead, (3) but his teeth slip right off again. Still, it seems he cut your arm and you get a weird feeling, but you dismiss it.

Quote from: Ugly Face #2
He tries to grab McCoy and bite him

(5) Having caught you off guard, the Ugly face wraps his arms around you and (5) sinks his fangs deep into your neck. You can feel blood gushing out into his mouth as he sips it from your throat. You're not sure what's happening but your body is starting to feel weird.

I'll cast an illusion of invisibility on myself.

Yay. Vampires.(or at least, something similar) Shouldn't be too bad... as long as they don't start sparkling.

Do not worry, this is not the Twilight saga with gay vampires.
Actually those things aren't really vampires, more like ... actually I'll let you find that out the hard way.

Okay, I've got armor, a weapon, and an infinite supply of alcohol. I feel ready for anything.
Well, maybe not missing-eyepires, those things are freaky.
I think it's time to try surveying again, see if there are any landmarks besides the fountain, where the divide is, that sort of thing.
Use terramancy to raise myself up and get an idea of what the town looks like.

« Reply #84 on: March 30, 2010, 06:22:27 pm »

I have the feeling that Yarn won't post a action, so he's on auto.

Turn 9

sharpen wooden sticks for fortifications, and barricade a nearby house.

(6) Becoming obsessed with making yourself a safe house, you start grabbing chunks of wood out of the pile and sharpening them with a sharp metal-piece from the other pile. Completely focused on making something to protect yourself, you cut the wood into sharp spikes and punch them with your mighty hammer into the ground in front of a nearby, empty house. After you're done, the house is completely surrounded by the wooden spikes. Then you notice a problem. You barricaded the door shut and now you can't get in. At least it looks good.

Attempt to communicate with my rapier. Find out why it wants to make me dead so much.

(2) You pull out your rapier and push it to the ground, trying to constrain it. Then you try to focus your mind on your cursed weapon and find out why it hates you so much. But no matter how hard you try to talk with it, it just won't respond. After a while you give up, before anybody - especially you - gets hurt.

I'll cast an illusion of invisibility on myself.

(5+1) Seeing an opportunity as the Ugly tries to regain balance, you try to make yourself invisible to his eyes. You focus and call for your powers as a illusionist. Suddenly, your hands start to fade out of view, then your arms and your legs. A few seconds later, you are completely invisible to the naked eye. After putting on a victorious grin - which, of course, nobody can see - you turn back to the Ugly Face. Or at least to where the Ugly Face used to be. In fact, it seems you did so well, that you also turned your enemy invisible. This fight is gonna be interesting.

I'm going to wander out of the house an start trying ti figure out what is going on.

(1) Confused after just having arrived here, you start looking around, trying to find out what's going on. You walk through town and go through the usual routine.
Look into every empty house. -Check
Try to find the edge of town. -Check
Fall and get stuck under a door. -Check
It seems that you walked in on Gray doing his job, and he was not very pleased. He tried pushing you out of the way, but accidentally send you flying. You landed on your head, (3) but you got lucky and are only dazed.

Use terramancy to raise myself up and get an idea of what the town looks like.

(4+1) Still being mad about not getting the second hammer, you walk out and decide to try your trick again. You put your hands (pants) on the ground and concentrate. Calling out to the powers of earth, the ground around you rises in a circular pattern. You keep lifting it, until you are about 150 feet in the air. You stand about and try to get a good look over town. On the light side you notice nothing particularly interesting ... other than a few collapsed buildings and a barricaded safe house ... , but on the dark side there are quite a few weird things. The houses seem to be in a worse shape, the farther you go in. You also notice that, even though it's the middle of the day, the farther you look into the dark side, the darker it gets. The edge of that side is as dark as the night. You can't quite make out what's at the edge, but you do notice some weird figures coming from it. (going back down is a free action)

Lizard goes off to help i look for a sledge hammer to use as a weapon

(6) You concentrate and send a mental command to your lizard. He wakes up from his slumber and quickly responds and starts running to (4) help out McCoy. You yourself get up and marvel at the hammer that you just received from your victory. But something is off, that small hammer just doesn't seem mighty enough. Since you're already in the storage, you use this chance to find yourself a bigger hammer. After searching around for a while, you come across a quite mysterious hammer. The head of the hammer seems to have the shape of two golden anvils joined together. It is adorned with long purple strands around the shaft. You like what you see and try to lift it, but it won't budge. You can feel some strange powers hidden in this weapon.

Epic face punch!

(5) McCoy ... PUNCH! You rip yourself away from the zombies grip and turn around in the blink of an eye. As you turn around, you pull back your arm as far as physically possible and let loose all of your power in one concentrated blow. (4) The confused Ugly can't even comprehend what's happening as you sink your fist deep into his skull, crushing his nerves and causing his head to explode. Parts of his face and brain are scattered all over the walls and your clothes. Your fist is full with your beaten enemies blood and you smile silently. Some might find this a little disturbing, but it is well deserved after such an face-punch. You also notice that the weird feeling seems to have vanished, but you don't give it any further thought.

Quote from: Buttons (Yarnspinner)
I give up the search and instead just ask the Quantum-Supply for a sling-shot.

(5-1) Annoyed, you decide that something that gives you splinters doesn't deserve to become your weapon. Instead, you walk back to the house and think of a very good slingshot. The Quantum-Supply throws out something and you catch it. As you look at it, you see that it's a wooden slingshot of the highest quality. It also came with a little bag containing 10 rocks.

NPC Turn

Quote from: Giant Lizard
He follows his owner's commands and heads to McCoy.

(4) He runs as fast as his four feet can carry him. As he arrives, McCoy has already face-punched that Ugly straight to hell, so the lizard decides to go help Dragnar instead. He follows his scent, but as he gets there he is quite confused. He can clearly smell Dragnar but he can't see him OR his enemy. Confused he sits down and thinks about what to do next.

Quote from: Ugly Face #1
Confused as to what is happening, he stumbles around trying to find Dragnar.

(4) He stumbles in circles, not quite sure as to what to do. Flailing around his arms, he suddenly bumps into something (4) and grabs onto it. That something seems to be Dragnar's arm. He tries biting him again, (4) and succeeds in doing so. (What's up with all these 4s?) He starts sucking blood again, but this time it seems he also is pushing something in. You don't know what he just did, but you can tell it can't be anything good.

We already have some artifacts here, though I won't tell you which things are yet. On a other note, things are going to start getting a little more dangerous from here, so you might want to learn some abilities.

Everyone but me got 5's! Yall luck-stealers. That means karma owes me this round...right?

Rebuffed and with a arching head I decide to head back to the Quantum hole thingy and try for a full suit of barding for my feline half, with a row of spikes down the spine so no one tries to ride me. Also, I want a backpack, some food and alcohol, and a shield might be a good idea. After that I'll head on over towards the barricaded house again.
