I tried to reason with her, I really did. But when she kept going on about how it's none of our business, and nobody cared about these kids, I think Irontooth snapped. Well, I
know Irontooth snapped. You could tell, especially when Doreens brains were covering his fists. Snow shot her several times for good measure.
I didn't like it much, but I didn't like Doreen either. I guess it's good. Those kids got off, but some of them didn't look too happy. I think Irontooth should have controlled himself and taken her out back, but he just caved her face in right there. He's a real softy at heart, he could see those kids weren't happy.
We had a job though, so we left the factory.
We decided it would be a good idea to train some soldiers from the locals. They're pretty ragtag, but they'll do well enough. We'll take them with us, so when we take the Drassen Mine we will have people to defend it. Not to mention they'll help us take it in the first place.
Once we had trained enough soldiers to take with us to the Mine, and enough to guard the airfield, we were off. We came in from the north with about 30 militiamen. Hunter was the first to spot anyone, and quickly brought his ass to the dirt with his MP5SD.
Irontooth and Snow took positions on a nearby rooftop to lay down fire on any enemies that came from the western street. They were very successful at this. Our Militia even began scoring a few kills.
A lot of enemies, more so than expected, began pouring from the south east. Snow pointed her rifle that direction and immediately scored a direct hit.
The militia worked better than we could have ever hoped for. They were controlling the western road with little to no assistance.
Enemies continued to pour from the south east, Grunty and Snow usually making quick work of any unwanted air breathers.
Once the enemy assault had slown to a trickly we began moving forward, taking to rooftops, engaging from long distance, while the militia began going in for the kills.
After a slow room to room alley to alley firefight, the Mine was ours! We now have a steady income for new equipment! An amazing success! No casualties again! This is turning out to be a great deployment.
And the owner of the Mine was a great sport as well.
As always, ~Trevor

Dear Diary, I've just survived the most drawn out firefight of my life. The enemy did
not want to lose this Mine. I was unable to even take any photos. It was like shooting fish in a barrel. Except the barrel is a pool and the fish are floating everywhere and you're shooting them from a lifeguards tower. And it's very dark because it's night time.
The Militia spotted them coming from the south and the north on the east side. So we took up positions on top of the Mine Office. We all took up positions facing all directions, letting them come to us in the darkness. The Militia was getting banged up, but were taking some down with them. I would have liked to help them, but conventional warfare at night is too dangerous.
Snow was pointing her rifle to the south, and Grunty to the North. Keeping our most adept riflemen towards the enemy is a great idea, but with the limited visibility their range meant almost nothing. Men like me and Hunter and Senator were used to great extent. Irontooth kept to Snow and Grunty to give them accurate support fire. Hunter really shines at night. He was always able to keep one step ahead of his enemies, and they never saw him. Not once I think. He used his knife quite a but too. I gave it to him, I didn't care much for hand to hand and he was always talking about how he hated himself for forgetting to bring one.
The battle lasted so long, there were so many enemies. None of them did a damn thing to us. The Militia was banged up, but we were able to patch up most of them. It was truly gruesome. It was kind of our fault, I don't think we trained them enough. However, at the end of the day, we were victorious. We took the Mine. We held the mine. We
owned that mine.
