United States Vice President Joseph Biden introduced President Barack Obama to the reporting crowd for the signing of the new health care bill.  Elated, upon finishing his introduction, he turned to President Obama, away from the microphone but not quite far enough, and said with a grin, "This is a big fucking deal!"

This may have belonged in the Health Care Bill thread, but I thought it amusing enough to post on its own.  Ol' Ramblin' Joe is just that kind of cool.

I'm glad we've got people like Aqizzar to keep us up to date--I just don't have time to keep up with Biden's big fucking spiel.

ON TOPIC:

Biden is just being an ass, as usual, IMO. The bill itself isn't a big fucking deal, save for the fact that something actually got passed.

What surprises me is how the political world seems to have taken the slip in stride.  Probably just because it's Uncle Joe doing what everyone expects him to do, be a little too human for a politician.  I don't believe many of our past VPs would have been received so easily, big fucking heels that they often were.

Who knows what tomorrow brings though.
