Water falls from the sky

At current, water doesn't acumulate on the ground. It'd be kinda nice if after a particularly heavy rainstorm, you could have some 1's scattered about, and maybe refill the ponds.

That is planned, right? Right? Or will beer be the only water source forever?

How do I delete?

You don't. You regret. And live with it. And never feel the same again.

Unless of course Toady deletes it or something. Than it's all alright.

It'd be awesome to have forts pool with rainwater because of poor drainage.

I agree, because what we really need right now is more ways for forts to sudenly get tragically wiped out. (No, really, we do. YAY for death! Let the waters fill our forts, allowing the carp to invade   :p )

EDIT: Got carried away and forgot to mention the main thing...

I think that it would certainly be good if rain refilled all those ponds that we get around the place.

Currently they're supposed to refill, but they don't.  Toady just hasn't fixed it yet.

This also means all your drained Ponds will need to be floored over in order to avoid flooding.

Which is impossible AFAIK.
rain and wet-season refilling ponds would be plenty IMO
...it is just silly to have  ponds evaporate a year or two after arival to never refill...as if you were the survivor of a world encompassing flood.

Well, what I meant, is, you put floors on the surface level, covering the openspace, so the rain doesn't flow in and fill the pond, then flow out into the fortess they're used as adhoc rooms from.  I wish Murky pools would turn into mud after they've been drained.

me too.

you can dig tunnels into obsidian, sand and even ice but dried mud no way.
They are just too temporary for a permanent feature. :/

They don't because they're supposed to spawn water when it rains.
