You exchange one copper for a mug of ale which is, at the very least, palatable, and a plate of leftovers.
You consume both in a boring way. The bartender talks about a way to clean coins using bear piss. You aren't paying attention, but when he drops the coin into a mug of yellow liquid, you make a mental note not to accept change from this guy.
