Wait-

You're Icelandic?
That's extremely awesome!
For the sake of it, I will type out
Snæfellsjökull.

Iceland has some pretty cool geology going on. How many other islands can claim to be part of a mid-ocean ridge?

"Eyjafjallajoekull"

I saw that in the newspaper today and I was wondering, 'How the hell do you say that?'

I know Icelandic isn't an easy language, but could someone try to type that out phonetically?

I wish I had gone on that school trip to Iceland, apparently the perpetual sunlight was good for football games. "Hey want a game of football, it's only 3am"

Make sure you wrap yourself in tin foil and wear a helmet, it's better than nothing I suppose, or move house.

I vote for someone to record themselves saying this "Eyjafjallajoekull", it intrigues me...

My guess is on Eya-fialla-yo-kul

Edit: Or not... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eyjafjallaj%C3%B6kull  (click the listen button near pronunciation)
That is a really long word with a really short pronunciation!  :-\

If it's on the surface, it's kinda, umm, lava, not magma.

there is lava now, going from the magma vent. The lava flow past over my favorite hiking path and melted some glacier on the other side making a big explosion in the process.

Here is a news page in Icelandic where you can listen to the word "Eyjafjallajökull" and other words spoken in Icelandic.

Well, if it's magma, he could be living underground. This would give him a few more troubles.
