I've never heard MUSE on the radio. I can't find their CD anywhere; I had to internet order mine.

Which is weird, because I hear them on the radio all the time and literally saw their CD prominently displayed in WalMart last week*. But I guess it depends on where you live.

They certainly are mainstream here.

*EDIT: Actually, now that I think about it, I think it was on the best sellers shelf

Anyone familiar with The Mighty Boosh?

Well, here's one of the many odd, yet awesome, songs.

Eels

Of course, if I mention that, I gotta mention this:

Wha...

That song's like if Willie Wonka and Luna Lovegood had a baby, and said baby made a music video while under the simultaneous influence of LSD and an alien mind-control ray.

Quite catchy, though. Don't mind if I watch it again.

Oh, also, I've been listening to quite a lot of soundtracks lately...

One of my favorites, but call of the yeti is more substantial to me.

Personally, I prefer the Ape of Death. But I wouldn't say it's quite "epic".

I'm quite partial to Iron Maiden's Rime of the Ancient Mariner, Despite a good part of it being.. well, pretty much non-existent.
(I'm convinced they did it so that some of them could slip off stage for a minute. :P)

Not the most energetic music, but a fine little song of its own.

This thread altogether needs more MYST. Every one of the six games has had a dramatic and memorable soundtrack. The styles vary wildly and I'm too busy to point the best ones out, but I suggest strongly you just put this playlist on randomize for a while. You will probably trawl up a few favorites.

Urm, wait, six?
Are you counting URU too?
AFAIK there is only Myst to Myst V - End of Ages.

Rather than having them directly force you to mine adamantine, I would suggest that they give you strange moods that require adamantine. "Dig out the adamantine or Urist here goes insane and dies" is suitably vicious.

(It occurs to me that you can probably get "Lovecraft" as the random name of your fortress. That's when you know you're screwed.)
