Chemical Bomb by the Aquabats.

Lyrics fit DF:
Ice Melts, (glaciers + magma!)
Skin Explodes (dwarves + magma!)
Everybody Dead

Coldplay's Viva La Vida is good.  Never seen or heard any plays of it on the 'net, though.
If you just listen to the lyrics, you will begin to wonder why people are trying to pass it off as a modern song ;D

Alternately: The Brick Testament. It's a really fun look at what the bible would look like if interpreted literally. With Legos.

If there is one song you should hear in your lifetime let it be Mordred's song by Blind guardian.
The acoustic version that is. Epicness is in plenty there.

As for a couple of other  pretty awesome songs:
Ryojoku no ame, Obscure and glass skin by Dir En Grey.
Colony of birchmen by Mastodon.
Feel good inc. by Gorillaz.
Who is your daddy and what does he do? by Austrian death machine.
Listen Close by Maylene and the sons of disaster.
Sjå attende by Gåte.
uhm....that's what I got here at the top of my head .
Epic songs are epic.

A Change of Seasons - Dream Theater. No dragons here.

'Soft' epics. Second one is really great in In Bruges.
Hallelujah - Jeff Buckley Originally by Leonard Cohen.
On Raglan Road - The Dubliners (basically just Luke Kelly). A poem by Patrick Kavanagh.

For Shrinking Universe, ya gotta appreciate the simplicity and the way the intruments work together. And I dont get what you mean by the "extremely annoying dime-a-dozen teenagers"
I believe he's referring to how the vocalist sounds like every single other irritating bawww-pop band that's clogging up the airways with their tears.

What? I still don't get how the vocalist sounds like that to you guys...

Go on, listen to that crybaby pop music that all the scene kids are listening to.  All the vocalists sound the same.  It's like pop country.

Cry baby pop music? MUSE is not pop music. They are alternate-rock.

Hyper Music + Agitated

That's not pop country crap.

Pop rock is still pop.

It's not pop rock.

Because MUSE is not mainstream popular.

MUSE is not mainstream popular.

And denial isn't a river in egypt...

As a rule of thumb, if they're played constantly on rock radio stations, and you can buy their CD in WalMart, they are in fact mainstream.

Zakk Wylde's <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wsih9nUpq2U>solo[/url] in the Black Label Society's "Sold My Soul." OHMYGAWD. SO MUCH EPIC. He changes pickups SEVEN TIMES mid-solo and never drops a single note.

This is by far my favorite guitar solo of all time.

I've never heard MUSE on the radio. I can't find their CD anywhere; I had to internet order mine.
But meh. They aren't as mainstream as Cthulhu says they are. They aren't pop. Pop genre, that is.

Better kick them again for good measure
OH MY GOD. MY EYES. IS THAT A VAG ON THAT GUYS FACE?!?
