Well i'm pretty new in this forum but i have lurked around since some weeks and was following the forum games and especially the RTDs. i loved how you people managed to turn normal,peaceful,law abiding(i hope you write it that way) towns within three turns into chaos wreaked ,zombie overrun , daemon worshipping, burning pieces of shit.(somehow reminds me of the end of all my df-fortresses).
Anyways i decided to also start an RTD. Which is set in our modern world, to be more specific in Germany. Everyone of you starts out as a normal guy who just moved in the town of Düringen.(this town is not really existing. All similiarities to the real world are accidently) You all have seen the terrible news of Africa where the Zombies were first seen. You didn't mind too much(as much as you can't mind that people are turned into maneating crazed beasts) because very soon American Troops were sent down there and the situation seemed under control. What you didn't knew that refugees from Africa soon landed in France...
Days later a guy who wanted to take a french-looking tramper with him was bitten by the suspicious guy. With his arm heavily bleeding he managed to reach the big Hospital of Düringen where all of you seven are currently situated because you either work there or for personal reasons....
Rolls:I use the seemingly normal RTD Rules (which i have shamelessly stolen from the others)
Normal Actions with Basic Skill work the following way:
The action results are defined by a six-sided die roll:
[1]: Epic Fail. Whatever you tried to achieve, you didn't, and you made it worse.
[2]: Fail. You didn't, or couldn't do what you tried to.
[3]: Meager success: You didn't fail, but you didn't succeed either. Like trying to sit on two chairs but ending up on one.
[4]: Success: You succeeded in your plight. All consequences are now your problem.
[5]: Epic Success: You succeed in the most positive way possible. The universe will bend to your will.
[6]: Overshot: You achieved what you tried to achieve, but you made it worse by doing so in the most inhumanely overpowerful way possible. Casualties are inevitable.
The Rest is mentioned as below:
Easy actions: 1 Autofail, 2-3 minor success, 4-5 perfect success, 6 Critical success (1-2, bad results, 3-6 good results)
eg. Walking down stairs
Normal actions: 1 Autofail, 2 Fail, 3-4 minor success, 5 perfect success, 6 Critical success (1-3 bad results, 4-6 good results)
eg. Walking down stairs stealthily
Hard actions: 1 Autofail, 2-3 Fail, 4 minor success, 5 success, 6 Critical success (1-4 bad results, 5-6 good results)
eg. Walking down stairs stealthily while juggling
Very hard actions: 1-2 Autofail, 3-4 Fail, 5 minor success, 6 Critical success (1-5 bad results, 6 good results)
eg. Walking down stairs stealthily while juggling orbs of light
Impossible actions: 1-3 Autofail, 4-5 Fail, 6 Critical success (1-5 Very Bad results, 6 Partial success)
eg. Walking down stairs stealthily on your hands while juggling balls of fire with your feet and doing so completely unobserved by the half dozen orcs below.
Skill levels make actions easier/harder for example:
a guy with the legendary skill in Stealth will just have to absolve a roll for easy actions if he is sneaking past a normal human on guard(so this means even if you are a badass killer assassin you might get unconcentrated or something totally unexpected happens and you fail...)
a guy which is unskilled in Stealth must absolve a roll for hard/very hard actions if he is sneaking past the same guy.
Damage Rolls are working following way:
1: Head
2: Torso
3: Left Arm
4: Right Arm
5: Right Leg
6: Left Leg
on damage rolls of 3 or higher an additional roll is made to determine what Body Parts get the bashing, so it is still possible with a (3!,6!) just to loose a phalanx because you rolled a (6!). Exceptions of this rule are the Torso and the Head. The Head has only one part which means: (1!,6!) is insta-death...
While with the Torso additional to the harming of the Ribcage, internal Organs also get harmed and get an additional Damage Roll:
1! Heart
1: light bleeding,
2: bleeding,
3: heavy bleeding,
4: compressed heart-ventricle,
5:mangled heart(2 rounds till death, except you get a new one),
6: insta-death
2! Lungs
1-3: winded
4!: crushed lung (suffocating in 3)
5-6: suffocating in 1
3! Liver
1-3: no drinking allowed, (if you drink: passing-out roll)
4-6: heavy bleeding, no drinking (if you drink: insta-death)
4! bowels
1-3: passing-out from pain rolls every turn
4-6: passing-out from pain rolls every turn -1 modifier)
5! pancreas
1-3: -1 on infection rolls, bleeding
4-6: -2 on infection rolls, heavy bleeding
6! Spinal Cord
1-3: movement rolls every turn (if you can do anything at all)
4: disabled legs
5: disabled arms and legs
6: no body movement (suffocation in 3)

The VirusTo avoid any misunderstandings:
The Virus infects living people, not dead ones! It can be transferred by coming into contact with body fluids(blood,salvia,sperm,urine etc.), being bitten and coming into contact with contaminated water(that means water which is polluted with Infected body fluids. You are not becoming infected if the body fluid hit your skin but if they reach your mucosa your a very unlucky person.Incubation time depends on the health of the Infected person. While healthy people can take up to 3 days to convert, weak,dying or heavily wounded people can turn in half a minute.
The Infected themselves can run and climb except for more complicated things like ladders and mountains...and have basic instincts/hunting instincts. They need to feed(humans, animals, normal food). Animals are immune to the Virus as it is only adapted to humans.
You can kill them by the same way you can kill a normal human altough they can't feel pain and therefore can fight on even if limbs are severed, although they are surely dying. Interestingly they have a higher regneration than normal humans and therefore not deadly wounds heal over time.
(More might be added later when more issues should arise)
Additional Fun:At the beginning, i think i use the Fortress of Bones System which means:
each day will consist of 1 hour turns. That means 16 day turns. 8 sleeping turns.
Occasionally you must also eat and drink.
The weather and encumbrance of your character will also play a role (so no climbing a mountain in a storm with a house in you backpack while haven't eaten for 3 days and slept for 2 weeks)
