Resaon of messed up gfx tiles??[partially solved..but..]
« on: March 19, 2010, 01:17:37 pm »

upd: problem still occurs..

--------------
I am trying to make compilation of mods i want to have.
After 2 hours of work i decided to launch that monster for first time.
Well...i can see weird thing after embark - it seem that gfx tiles are interpretend WRONG(despite of ok txts, imho..).
I checked for duplicates, none; i erased data/objects cache, nothing helped.
I was trying to pay attention to every thing while joining things.

What the hell, lol, is going on.
Could someone give me advice what to do?
Whole thing really looks like it should work ok.
But it is not...

Not solved...

Configs look fine, i cannot understand how it is possible that gfxes for creatures may be taken from...OTHER, than properly SET gfx file!
This is weird....

Code: [Select]
goose:
[TILE_PAGE:DOMESTIC_NEW]
[FILE:zoo/domestic_new.png]
[TILE_DIM:16:16]
[PAGE_DIM:6:11]
[CREATURE_GRAPHICS:GOOSE]
[DEFAULT:DOMESTIC_NEW:0:3:AS_IS:DEFAULT]
[CHILD:DOMESTIC_NEW:1:3:AS_IS:DEFAULT]
[SKELETON:DOMESTIC_NEW:2:3:AS_IS:SKELETON]
[ZOMBIE:DOMESTIC_NEW:3:3:AS_IS:ZOMBIE]
[TRAINED_HUNTER:DOMESTIC_NEW:4:3:AS_IS:DEFAULT]
[TRAINED_WAR:DOMESTIC_NEW:5:3:AS_IS:DEFAULT]

/zoo/domestic_new.png:

BUT ingame it looks like buffalo from OTHER GFX FILE.. /civ_forge/dom_new.png , pos 0:3 !!

Stray creatures have wrong gfx too:

Also:
Is this normal situation??? (swans and gooses, proper gfx, but..are these underwater, or i am interpreting it wrong??):

I don't think the problem is your english, it is quite understandable to be honest...

Unfortunately, I personally have no experience with making my own graphics, so, um, sorry  :-[

Have you checked the save folder?

Each time you gen a world, it creates a copy of the raw folder to be used for that region.

Regardless of future changes to the original raw directory, that region will not use the updated graphics or raw files.
