I've taken a quick look at the room designations and it seems there is no way to get out of room 4.

I've also noticed that the functions section could use a more modular approach, because currently we need to explisitly list all options and people still get frustrated if they try something we didn't account for. It'd probably be better if we'd seperate the verbs from the rest, so we'd have a function "use", which could be called with an argument (use pipe). The effect would depend on the context of course, so in this case the result would be "use pipe on what?", after which the player has to put in what he wants to use the pipe on (Door, sing, monkey, etc.)
Another thing to think about would be setting up a system to check for partial matches, so that we don't need to check for "sign", "wall-mounted sign", "plastic sign" and "plastic, wall-mounted sign" seperately, because the word sign is common to them and also unambiguously.

Yeah good points.

Originally, i wanted to standardize those quest interactions so you could define them in the raws, but, with my 24 hours i was hard pressed to bring the game back to playable level of omegasticks turn.

So, yeah i took the easy way out.  But, it also allows for some interesting events -- like well, if you play the few rooms I made there is some dialog and whatnot.

Yeah i know what you mean about the partial matches. Some sort of smart partial match function would do wonders. Still, you need to account for people trying different things, like "look plastic" vrs. "look sign"

Also, room 4 means you lost the game  :P

I'm looking at the files,  it looks quite nice and pretty straighforward, I haven't figured out how to start the game playing quite yet.

Have you got python installed? If your bindings are right, using Game.py should start the game (That is, assuming your on windows or a mac. Don't ask me for linux support)

this makes me want to learn python, but sadly I just dont have the time to do it right now.
If you guys end up doing a GML one I should be able to participate I think though, I used to use that program about 6-7 years ago

Also, are we allowed to take more than one turn?  If so, sign me up again.  I imagine after alfie, orange, and virex's turns the game will be ready for some sort of graphics and I'd love to take a crack at it.

I thought we'd just cycle through the participants, so after White Kiteh's turn, we'd be back at omegastick's second turn.
