Naming option in init
« on: February 29, 2008, 09:55:00 pm »

Something I was thinking about.  I always like to rename my married dwarves so they have the same last name using DC.  Would it be possible for Toady to add an option in the init file for the naming of related dwarves?  With the options being random (as it currently seems to be), patriarchal (kids/wives take father's/husband's last name), or matriachal (kids/husbands take mother's/wife's last name)?  Especially since dwarves can now fall in love and get married after they arrive at the fort.

This is going to have to happen sometime. It might be a while, though.

I suppose it depends on how much Toady has to change the current code?
