That just means you're primed and ready to do NaNoWriMo! I'll probably start a thread for that too, but that's a long way off yet.

Passed the four page mark all up last night before hitting bed.

I decided to adapt my failed When the Dwarves Cry into a script. Yes, I went there. Again. Probably means I'm doomed to fail, but third time's the charm...

Up to 9 pages of exposition (is that a bit too much?), with one Scene left in Act I. I wish I could share the story so far; but I'm not really sure how to do that with Script Frenzy.

I liked it. It's kind of theatre-ish, I think movie format would call for more exposition (you know, like landscapes or something)... Or, I would cut this first scene of your script very short... Uh, I don't know.  Looking back at my script, I'd say your dialogue is very strong.

On a different note, I've already posted my 29-pages-long flawed epic, and it haven't got a mention in the OP. What's wrong with it? What's wrong with me? *Writer's block. :)
Sweet :) Will get the newer version up at some point in the next few days, but I might actually have to miss a day today.. Jesus I hope not.

Also, on your second point, likely a slip of attention on Dasleah's part.

EDIT: got 2 more pages done despite busyday. not sure weather that'll happen tomorrow, we'll see. regardless, catching up is needed. Get the latest .pdf from http://drop.io/GetiScriptFrenzy

This is the first day I really got to do work on this, and I'm ending today with 9 and 3/4 pages finished. It's at that nice sweet spot of 1 hour = 3 pages. :)

@Geti ... Oh. Criticism.
First, almost like Dasleah has said, VOICEOVER. Few movies do internal monologue well. I'd like to list two examples: Forrest Gump and Amelie. Well, the former almost counts as internal. Be sure that what's going on inside your character's head is interesting enough and necessary to get into directly.
Second, minor nitpic: you seem to be going for the film format, you may consider to Script->AdaptTo->Film, if you're using Celtx.
And by the way, third: all that trip from the Charlie's threshold, to the museum, back to the Charlie's - is all one scene? (If I didn't miss it.) Usually, if it's not montage, you'd want to have separate locations and times in different scenes... Or, nevermind, actually, as it's the first draft, you should do as you find easier.

Besides criticism, is it going for intergenerational romance? :o

We'll see how that last one goes. It's possible that Blake has some sort of crush on Charlie whilst Charlie feels like he's in more of a parental role. I'll work it out as the characters do.
Cheers for the AdaptTo thing, didn't know about that. I think it is all one scene, hmm. Thanks for picking up on that, I'll probably go and fix it. I just see the museum bit as the important part of the scene, whilst the other bits are essentially just setting and reflection. I'll change the internal monologue bits to voiceover asap. planning on getting some writing and editing done before work today, and then the main catch-up session tomorrow.

Hahah, I'm making myself not even look at the raws while this is on. Converting my WIP mod is going to be a bitch anyway, from what I've heard.

I'm playing quite a bit though, which is making it hard. I'll likely only get to do editing today with work tonight <_<

Right, so I got the conversion handled but I'm unsure of the film markup style.. I don't have time to continue with the intro either, sadly. in any case, changed numbering to 00, 01 etc, rather than 1, 2 etc, just to try it out. Grab it from the drop, as always, I'd love some help with how to actually put the words down.

todo, for my sake:
-add stuff to scene 02, probably a confrontation with youth2 or something.
-new scene/s
-fix up markup
-edit
rinse/repeat 2-4 till April's end.

Up to 16 pages. Out of the exposition and into actual story.

@ Geti
It's weird! :D
Look at the film sample coming with Celtx (on the splash screen, where you open your project, in case you haven't noticed - I, for one, get lost in Celtx menus a lot), or my script, I posted somewhere around here. Some tips anyway: you don't need to number your scenes yourself - if you need it, Celtx will add them automatically,... iiin... Script->FormatOptions); a scene heading is supposed to contain a note on where (as I understand) the shooting is supposed to take place (EXT.erior/INT.erior), the set name (e.g. CHARLIE'S), and the time of day (i.e. lighting - MORNING/DAY/DUSK/NIGHT - er, you can, actually see all that in Edit->Preferences, and that's where Celtx is going to take its helpful pop-ups from, in case you want to add MARTIAN SUNRISE, or CLASSIFIED). Also, VOICEOVER is denoted by V.O. placed after the character's name, and Celtx understands this. And in my previous post I didn't mean you needed to exchange Internal Monologue for VOICEOVER, but rather scratch it entirely. I haven't noticed anything very notable about it that can't be expressed via SHOW DON'T TELL, i.e. actions. I don't even see why it's important - as if we can't see already that the company is pretty hosed.
Hmpf, as an afterthought, I or Dasleah could have linked something more coherent than my rambling, on this topic.

About my experience, have had a fit of depression since Wednesday, against the hysterical spirit of ScriptFrenzy, partially due to the DF release, partially real-life issues, and also a feeling of forlorness after having completed one story arc. But have had a bit of inspiration before going to bed yesterday, and hoping to start making steady progress (and where are all my pronouns ???).
So, here's my report.

Again @Geti: Despite my comments, please continue, my curiosity is already peaked by the lack of real updates to your script. :)

Hah, I'm not stopping even if you tell me to :P
I'll get onto blasting the internal monologue stuff now too, cheers for the feedback. I was feeling that way a bit myself, actually. Haven't written for the screen before though, as i said, I'm more of a short story kind of guy. I'll look at the example though, and hopefully be able to patchily follow convention.

Sad to hear about your depression, but it's good that you've found some inspiration. Will hopefully get at least some catching up done today.
