While that sounds like a good way to keep track of conversation, the beat sheet is apparently actually a way of organizing the story into recognizable segments/events that apparently almost all screenplays follow in some form.

Spoiler: Sheet of Beat (click to show/hide)
;D I'd play that. ;)

On another note, and I'd like to denote this note with a resounding "fuck", just for spice. I know why I don't like my dialogue. Because the characters who say it aren't eccentric schizophrenics, and don't crack out their eccentricities in every line, so that they are engraved in the viewers' minds after they have watched the movie. Also, I neither have "the Force", nor "my precccious", and my characters don't rhyme their lines. In other words, no universal fame for me  >:(

Oh I am so in. I swear to not have a life for the entire month of April! Mine will most likely be a short film of some sort.

A short film with a script length of 100 pages?

Edit on script hosts: Uh, how about Internet Archive (requires registration to upload), or SimplyScripts?

Feel free to point out if I'm being annoying, actually.

We're a little more liberal with the rules here than the main Script Frenzy site. While a short film of 100 pages would indeed not be a short film (remember! In screenwriting, one page is one minute of screen time!), he could just as well just do several short films, or a short film plus something else. As long as he does a total of 100 pages of script all up, and actually completes something, that's enough of a victory to me.

Oh I am so in. I swear to not have a life for the entire month of April! Mine will most likely be a short film of some sort.

Welcome aboard. 2 more days to go, oh god.

Do both. Even if one doesn't get finished, having an alternative to work on can recharge the batteries, presuming it's different enough in tone and plot to be noticable. Sometimes when you're writing something happy and fruity and bubbly, you just really want to throw it away and knife something, yeah?

That idea sounds the best, actually. Especially since Script Frenzy's youtube channel replied directly to my trailer, and now I don't want to disappoint. :o

...I've only now just realise that I must have overcounted somewhere or I'm too used to America being one day behind us here, because it has fully and utterly dawned on me that Script Frenzy starts tomorrow. At least tomorrow's the last day of work before a 4 day weekend and a week and a half break.

OH GOD I STILL HAVE PLOTTING TO DO

I just realised tomorrow is April.

I then realised that tomorrow is also the last day of school.

I'm in. Time to rip shit up.

Wooo! I am diving into this with a minimum of preparation. Thank God I've been wanting to write this screenplay for ages but couldn't be bothered looking for software.

Oh Jesus fuck what am I going to do God oh man.

Fuck, this is awesome. I'll make my mind up weather I want to sign my life away or not tomorrow. If I do, it'll be a ramble and a half. A hundred pages of crazy ramble.

And fuck, that software kicks ass. Off to call my girlfriend now, but the idea of this is mindblowing.

So, while everyone is psyched up, and while this is a thread related to movies... Does anyone know how hard it is to pull a song of a quite famous band into the soundtrack for your movie? It's a different idea than the one I'm writing for ScriptFrenzy, and it's literally been rolling before my eyes to this tune. Maybe if some local band wrote a "mock-up" song, or even I myself attempted it, it would be easier... But it won't have the same sound!

Easy as piss.

If you've got a few hundred thousand dollars for licensing fees lying around, plus additional legal fees.
