Hm. Can anyone explain to a person absolutely ignorant of the workings of this IRC thing, but having a default IRC client installed, how you get there? Or point me to a topic (I'm sure one exists), where Bay12 IRC channel requisites (or whatever) can be found.

Just click here to join with Mibbit (a web-based IRC client that's one of the best)

Or click here if you've got your client to recognise irc:// links and open them automatically.

Or generally the commands would be:

Code: [Select]
/server irc.newnet.net
/join #bay12games

Thanks, used the Mibbit link.
Wow, crazy people... I'm strangely getting cyberpunk vibes, with all these unrelated conversations going on simultaneously. Well, I suppose it would be advantageous for birthing new ideas.

I'm doing a twenty page practice comic for the frenzy to get used to writing scripts and the tools for writing scripts. I may release it. Will likely be based in the nWoD.

Crap, just reread the OP... Hm, I've already started writing, in fact, about five days ago. I hope it doesn't matter as long as I don't participate in the race to be the ultimate winner of the contest; I haven't registered on the site.
I'd like to know, do we submit our creations to this thread somehow for criticism? This far, Dasleah has been extremely helpful, and if he continued to be such, that would be awesome. Although, I guess, he is going to be busy with his own script.
Maybe, someone who doesn't write himself, but still follows this thread?

I read a lot, but I'm not very good at articulating problems with your writing... I can say "this feels wrong", but I can't go much further than that.

But when it comes to spelling I am the ubermench.

I dunno, you guys have survived Thomas the tank engine, golems, zombies, nuclear explosions, laser whales, and being on the same team as ragnarock.  I don't think something as tame as a world ending rain of lava will even slow you guys down.

Be surprised, but a reaction like "this feels wrong" for me is the most desirable. Now, someone needs to suggest a good host or means to share scripts. I imagine at ScriptFrenzy they just e-mail them.
Correction: not now, I've been suddenly struck with an idea, that needs some pondering. I'm going to write a complete storyline, which is a part of the collection in the script, and then ask for opinions.

Irony.  Also, comma goes inside the quotation marks.

That was totally my keyboard's fault. My spelling powers are too awesome for my computer to handle so it accidentally dropped a letter. Anyway, it's in a language I don't actually speak. The u should have two little dots above it too.

EDIT:

When I try to go to that "scribd" site, FireFox offered to download the page. Umm...

Strange. My Firefox does nothing of a kind. I linked the "about" page. What does regular http://www.scribd.com/ do?

Edit: Anyway, that's the first site on search that accepts PDF documents, that are the only format Celtx outputs, except its native one.

Are we allowed to start early?  I'm getting all antsy.

You need to reread the OP (or the relevant section on the ScriptFrenzy website), like me.
No, if you are going for international recognition. It was partially my mistake to have started earlier, but on the other hand I don't care. I need to finish this script for another project, and as soon as possible. For me only the ending date is important. And the motivation, provided by Dasleah.

Darn, I am so hyped up for this, man.

I'm reading the 10 word plot synopsis thread.  So many author inserts.

Comma goes inside the quotation marks?  I never knew that...

Where did you get that from?  I'd like to see the reasoning behind it.
