Had a group of bandits(?) following my drow adventurer from her starting fortress for no apparent reason. Eventually I got tired of it and decided to attack them. They outnumbered me, and had armour and weapons while I was armed with nothing but a copper spear, and they had a troll with them, but I still decided to make a go of it. You can probably guess how it turned out.

It's actually pretty terrifying to think about having all of your fat melt off into grease because you started sweating too much.

The last thing that was going on in my adventure before the Big Crash: I found Jabba the Hutt in Dwarf Fortress. :D

After I got the hint of some criminals hiding in a captial Halfling city (my own mods) I finally fought my way through the castle´s dungeon just to meet a "slug man boss" escorted by some goblins. The game crashed before I could fight them, but still.. It´s Jabba the Hutt.

GORLAK: A small, round humanoid found wandering the caves deep underground. Most of its body is taken up by a huge tusked mouth. Its skin is goldenrod, its eyes are red.

Dwarves admire Gorlaks for their impressive tusks, stimulating conversations and helpful guidances.

Fought through a vault full of humanoid jackal angels made of flame - so, basically a bunch of fiery Anubises. They were pretty easy to kill, as one hit to the upper body would destroy them, but every wound caused a large fiery explosion. I learned I had to dodge backwards as I struck, then jump away to avoid the flames, and even that sometimes didn't work. I almost died of blood loss toward the end, and wound up with all the fat melted off my torso and left thigh.

In one for I had found some parchment.  In another I found a set of scroll rollers.  All I could do was fall to my knees and curse to the sky at my inability to combine them.

Otherwise my skill with the etag (a sort of three-stringed fiddle with a wooden body, ceramic neck, and metal bow) have improved greatly.  I've written a couple good compositions and played them for dozens of lords and ladies at sites all along this large, very populated river.

Discovered that if you jump at people they will either dodge out of the way without any regard for their safety or you will slam into them knocking them back several tiles and injuring them without drawing aggro. Spent several hours making goblins and bandits dodge down stairwells, into pits of lava, and into 'bottomless' pits. Especially fun as a finishing move on a goblin in a dark pit with all those ravines in them.

Jumping at your opponent is the basis of the Kisat Dur Toradadom techniques.

So, I created a new adventurer at the capital of their civilization. . . and immediately after starting, all the nobles are just SLAUGHTERING each other

You feel uneasy
So I was told this town had a problem with outlaws bullying them so I was like, "Yeah, it's just a few bandits, easy deal.". Then I approach the * and...

Okay, no big deal, this is a brand new adventurer but I've fought worse...

I quickly put my hands up.

It's an elf hammerlord ruling over a horde of dwarven recruits. What should I do?

You can run. You can surrender. You can cross your fingers and go all in and hope the early death inflicted on the recruits will rout their forces.
You should run.

Your best bet is strategic dodging. Don't try to attack anyone - that'll only mire you down. To paraphrase Dora - "just keep dodging, just keep dodging" in the same direction. When you reach the edge, set run speed to sprint and hope you can out run a peeved off elf.

Elven hammerlord ruling over dwarves... Theme seems familiar

Science is always important. But it needs more flaming cats. Can't we build bridge-based catapults and fling flaming cats at the dust and goo?

It's time for the ATHATH Death Counter to increase once more in celebration for the end of the world.
