Gotta null out those needs during creation or dfhack yourself into the right orientation and then you find a suitable partner, and you dance, you dance your way over there until you win the heart of that girl!

I've stopped doing regular updates for my adventurers. It's not interesting to read. Everyone and their mother has become a legendary swordsman vampire necromancer, killed every great beast in the world, made bone trinkets out of them, cleared several vaults, enslaved a demon, and finally retired out of boredom. However, this run was different. I did it in nothing but an iron helmet and mail shirt.



Just look at how scarred this dude is! He's my most scarred adventurer to date! This is what he looks like when fully healed:



Also he has a silver scourge stuck in his left lower leg. What a guy.

Ha, hauling around embedded bolts and shit is one of my favorite things, last time I played a plump helmet man I got a silver bolt stuck in my upper body and treated it like jewelry.

Somewhere, deep in this thread, is an account of of my vampire adventurers who got ~15 weapons and bolts stuck in him. The crown was a divine metal sword through my lung.

I had atleast one adventurer that got an arrow stuck in his nose. Made for a pretty neat piercing.

Much earlier in one of the 40.xx versions I also had a particularly awesome adventurer who got a silver axe stuck in the back of his neck. He went on beast slaying for quite a while before dying to a cursed priests zombie minions in a town's marketplace. All the while still having the axe embedded in his neck.

so currently poking around convos in advmode and seeing if I can force folks to agree to being hearthspersons.
pretty buggy mess with high chance of crashing the game.
gotta also see if werebeast curse can be given to bogeymen...I'm guessing no.

Wouldn't it just be a matter of editing the conversation events so their last statement was asking to become your hearthperson, and then you just agree?

I had quests that can't be completed properly like driving necromancers out, respawning zombies apparently keep this from staying completed, so you either hack a campsite on top of it and smash the tower/zombies, or edit it so you are reporting successful completion. I think you can also just straight up edit it so you're asking for a new one.

hmm it seems like body swapping into them and forcing them to accept works.
though now I kinda just screwing around with the punt script and this really insane bridge set up that zig zags across the river.
ended up trying to complete a lap around the hamlet only to take the hard 90 degree curve of the bridge and flew right out of the minecart, into a tree, that I grab on to.
god you try to turn using this script you split into 2 beings, drifting so hard you see your past self 6 turns ago,
if only we figured out how to turn all ramps into minecart safe ones.

or figure out what world do I need to build to make it flat so one has to not worry about going uphill

Decided to be a wrestler/striker/kicker etc. It's turning out pretty well, punches to the neck seem to often explode it in gore, while kicks to the upper body disable their lungs. Thinking of starting to be a misc. obj user and using a pair of branches like whacky sticks.

this bridge by armok is has more successful attempts at killing me than the bandits, and goblin masters I fought.
also now I want to tackle this insane twisted bridge system and speed past it.
like looking at this, if the first turn didn't cause me to wipe out, the second turn probably will.
