I performed an experiment in adventure mode, wherein I got totally wasted on hundreds of units of booze, ignoring that I puked most of it up, and danced the night away.

So, in order, I got dizzy, nauseous, lost consciousness, and died of suffocation. Yup, seems to be working.

Madness. Getting plastered in the dwarven manner is an art, not a science. Otherwise they'd have a better understanding of alcohol poisoning.

Meanwhile, I've made a dragon tooth spear, to celebrate my abnormally easy dragon kill. I set toot, nail, and related materials to have higher max edge than a comparable tier a bone. Meant to encourage players to use those materials for bone weapons instead of just using bone, which is used in FAR more things.

I have a problem on my hands.

To circumvent the fact the elves don't have lords, I claimed myself lord of an elven zone until they acknowledged it (I still couldn't build or fell trees tho), then offered some girl my position, she accepted and she now was 'lady'. Then I asked her to make a tribute to my group (which she accepted) and then I claimed the position from her and she didn't seem to care, but I'm STILL not getting the title. How do you steal the lord/lady title from someone WITHOUT killing them ?

EDIT: Meanwhile in my adventure, killed a cyclops and make essence of true seeing. I should've went ahead with making essence from that dragon I've killed, as now I decided to go ahead and collect them all. All I need now is a dragon heart, hydra heart, minotaur heart, and mi-go heart.

My...my tail! Giant lopped my tail off by scratching it. And yet I still managed to kill it. I limped away, my tail stuffed in my pack. i wonder if I can at least use my own body parts to make stuff...

EDIT: Nope. I'll have to retain my tail as a keepsake.

Everything was going swimmingly well after the two story construction was completed.

There were a few random fast travel journeys to inspect the goods at various meadhalls. There was a bit of map lair population, just to avoid the shrines during slow travel hunting.

Bim was about to build a tree house a few world map tiles away from his hut. Luckily he decided to craft a bow before leaving. The product was a pestle! Apparently I never copied over my item_tool_advmd.txt file which had entries for bow staves and other bowyering components. No by hook or by crook could save the world. So I'll regen the world overnight. Right now I'll take a look at streamlining my alter/repair reactions to 4 entries: cloth/leather/silk/yarn.

Metal shields don't even hold up to dragonfire now, at least not unless you literally jam it in the dragon's mouth and prevent the fire from coming out at all (which a friend of mine did do).

Arena testing indicates they do, in fact arena testing indicates you can absolutely kill a dragon with your bare hands. The key is that under no circumstances can you try to block an attack while blocking dragonfire, your shield and then body will boil away in a fraction of a second.

So the shield can block dragonfire, but if its blocking something else the dragonfire will melt it. Good to know.

Maybe that's what I did wrong with that dragon...


Last night I visited the library in the far north and "borrowed" a book on every individual topic they had. As opposed to the astronomers, naturalists and ethical philosophers in the previous library, most of the topics here were on physics, engineering, chemistry, and medicine.

After that jho-one and I travelled east around the northern extremes of the mountain range dividing the world in two and then began our trek south down the eastern coast. Jho-one drowned crossing a river. I met some magpie people and a travelling paklara bowman and made some new friends. Theres a town in the desert out here which is both tiny, has nothing but a single temple some shops and the keep, and only the temple and keep are inhabited... By a total of four vutchnell. That's it. The chieftess of the town is a bandit, to boot. Still haven't found the other sites containing libraries yet.
