I had to abort another attempt to get a Megacombatant trained up - he's lost his motor nerves in his leg. At least he and his two mates were able to seize a hamlet, though!
That's nothing! I've had an adventurer with a useless eye, a useless arm, a missing leg, and a sword through the lung who could still put a bone crutch through an iron helmet. Don't give up yet!

Hell, my army of drunks are still killing wildlife and the occasional night creature despite a few bad legs.

Far as I can tell, it seems to mean that he married his aunt. Dafuq.

Heh, anyhow. I reaction-spawn-crafted some bismuth bronze stuff, wish I could do the same with gauntlets. Damn bug with them is still there.

More reason why I'm glad to have made that "break down any metal object" reaction. If you find some random useless divine metal item...

Meanwhile, I should see about finding a shoggoth lair to purge with my newly-made +bronze great axe+. T̞e͎̫̺̺̳̤k̩͢e̷͉l̺̺i̶̮̼̠̱̫-̣͕̫͔̫͙l̨̯i̴͓͍̪̗.

I took a look at the adv-carpentry reaction raws, I think it just might be a way to craft left and right gauntlets. :o

Quickswapped one of the carpentry reactions to produce gauntlets with product tag: gloves on a hunch, no handedness sadly.

Darn, also I'm currently trying to reaction-spawn tower-cap logs as this just crashed my game [PRODUCT:100:1:WOOD:NONE:PLANT_MAT:TOWER_CAP:WOOD], bleh once again I'm derping and missing the obvious here.

Curious. Try product tokens left and right?

Try NONE or STRUCTURAL instead of the second WOOD on the end.

EDIT: The ettin is dead. No one died, yaaay. Iton lost a foot though, and combined with her earlier bad leg that means a crutch is no longer enough to keep her standing. Sakzul also lost a hand, but she still had one to hold her crutch in.

Huh, both seem to give same results of "tower-cap plant logs" ingame. Awesome! :D Now I'll reaction-spawn spam them so I'll have at least 900 of em and I guess I'll re-build the same structure nearby eventually and tear down the old one. All of that when I've taken a bit of a break as I will need at least 3-6 more loyal hearthpersons/companions.

EDIT: Nah scratch the loyalty, the three companions I have are still brigands and if their original leader is killed one of them will become a leader and thus unusable, better just nab those riff-raff so my building from tower-cap logs gets finished and then kill them all, shame that I couldn't convert them 100% due to game deeming them afflitied with the previous bandit group. That or I could just stay at brigand status, cause why not. Anyhow this seems to be the correct reaction for tower-cap logs: [PRODUCT:100:6:WOOD:TOWER_CAP:PLANT_MAT:TOWER_CAP:WOOD]

EDIT2: [PRODUCT:100:6:WOOD:NO_SUBTYPE:PLANT_MAT:TOWER_CAP:WOOD] is said to be the correct one, so I checked and yup weighs about 30r less those logs. Anyways, I've been at DF for far too long as I ended up recreating a bigger and a better version of my structure in tower-cap logs. Only now it resembles something out of LOTR.

Nice. Now, my allies helped my mob a groundhog to death, so I have a spare waterskin to make this ettin heart into a potion. o3o

okay in my non-darkage version of dwarf fortress 43.02 I finally breached hell, then retired, then unretire and build the way down after realizing I need to do that first.
operation ocean camp from Being in hell is on it's way.
also learn that reanimating Demons is a huge Bad idea as some how they still piss off my undead mob.

I seem to be unable to retire my adventurer. I made a necromancing elephant man utilise an army of dead peoples and their bodyparts to build him a tower where a river diverges and you have the gap thingy over it. I can either save or give in to staration, and I have claimed the site.

so uhh some how trying to set up camps in the ocean via caverns is REALLY BUGGY and crashed my game.
also you can't build in hell this way. like you can enter the build menu but as soon as you leave it the game forgets you set up and name a site and ask you to set up a camp again.
allowing you to layer multiple camp sites on each other.
also traveling into a ocean that is frozen leads to some freaky stuff like the game telling you you're incase in ice when you're not and still alive... in hell.

Pleasantly surprised to unretire my adventurer with a base in the caverns to discover he's been putting his bone carving skills to use while I was away. A rather snazzy cave crocodile earring and a giant mole tooth ring on his thumb. Glad to see adventurers keeping busy while I'm doing other stuff.

Last time I spotted him while playing someone else, he was up on the surface slaughtering keas at incredible speed.

Not sure how long he'll survive though. His companion has vanished and his caves are rapidly being taken over by giant cave spider webs...
