the DF wiki should be updated to mention Bogeymen lack of interest on creatures who Don't have Fear and those who do have this no fear trait have an easier time surviving the night than those who don't.
also I don't think I see No fear as a searchable subject there.
so uhh arachnids well most of the bugs adventurers don't fear the night?
so how long til toady gives us playable Amethyst men?

I have a similar plan to your ocean crossing that will require multiple camps and might not even work, but I'm gonna check a couple sites where I might be able to overlap it in one.

I didn't notice any color change with the flow thing, but I have different keybinds so it might be something else being hit at the same time? I know there's something I do occasionally which changes the designations from being candy aqua to the faded aqua.

The pages for boogeymen and creature tokens are where updates should be. Am I gonna have to do it myself? :V

And hmm, I need more ideas for making my base more awesome. Already plotting to write stuff for my bookcase.

the idea was to use multiple camps to cross the ocean as you can safely travel through camp sites.
so far my get access via the ocean plan hit a snag when I hit a literal wall where the beach would be and no good way to cross it.
looks like I need to get those dwarves to DIG EVEN DEEPER next time hoping I don't need to go into hell
kinda amazed toady gave adventurers a 3x3 site to mess around as this mean you can make a 1x1 dwarf fort and fit like 9 of them in each zone.
still kinda tiff I couldn't gauge How far into the ocean I was heading or not. even though I can see the surface in Build mode if you look up high enough.

Thing is I can either add rectangles or start a flow.. is that just an alternate function to setting a zone? Once flow is set its the same hue of purple as if I just had placed a rect(angle) there. I just incase set the flow zones to where I thought would be appropriate.

Anyhow it seems setting up rooms for the three companions worked as I canceled the companion agreements and now they are in their rooms after making my own character sleep in one of her own beds (about a week of non-stop building should be enough for an Ischrotaur to get tired enough to sleep). One of the values I had to state to them was loyalty and nuances of power (not my values) just in case. I'm pretty sure after all that story telling to the draenei wrestler Yrarog (female), swordsdwarf Govos (male) and hammerdwarf Elon (female). I set Elon to also work in the tavern and she seems to be found in the tavern zone instead of her room zone (after sleeping and waking up to check if my hearthpersons were in their rooms, Elon came out of her room so I know it at least works). The only problem I have with my building is that I don't have rooms built or set for the tavern area and I lack a library, library is not that important at the moment because I've yet to make Dhorna write something down so for now it's just a bookcase in her large room/hall.

Flame, before you go back to 40, would you try a rescue in this version?

The kids actually respond and let you rescue them, but I'm curious if you will get the whole "child, it's you, give me a hug" followed by shanking weirdness.
I've noticed that too. Also, the kids won't even let you rescue them if you aren't a goblin.

I bodyswapped into a goblin poet and rescued 48 kids. I'm down to about 35, but I'll lose a lot more after I get into this one mead hall. There must be hundreds of poets here!

Well, after wandering through the wilderness and killing some more bandits, I realized something: I've been praying to The Greater Steel for guidance, but I ignored the most basic advice he had given me. I had been using iron equipment instead of steel! Immediately, I traveled to the south and to the hillocks and fortresses of the dwarves.

It was there that I finally realized the value of trade. It took a while, but I amassed enough meat to trade for the steel armor and weaponry that I needed, and afterwards, I headed back to the north.

Along the way I suddenly smelled cooked meat. Curious as to who might be camping nearby, I began to walk more slowly and cautiously, but it was for naught; a giant Troll bride jumped out from the bushes and began grappling with my crossbowman. My other companion and I began hacking at the troll in a desperate attempt to save Bolli. After its arms and right foot were cut off, it began biting its target, and we were able to cut off its exposed trollish head. Bolli was bleeding heavily and had trouble walking, but he was still able to speak. "Mekgos Hazelclout is dead," he said. "It has come to pass."

I began to gather the food I had dropped so I wouldn't be weighed down, but something made me pause. That name was familiar... very, very familiar. It was then that I remembered what had happened when I left home;  I had been given my iron equipment on one condition, that I would slay the troll bride Mekgos Hazelclout! Both excited and eager to get Bolli some medical attention, I left for the nearest hamlet.

Well, slowly building a perimeter wall for my camp. Also...I should playtest this further. A thing I made for a friend, as a joke.

The Greater Steel guide me to glory, both in combat and in death.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=onGWF8mz1Zw "Crom, I have never prayed to you before. I have no tongue for it. No one, not even you, will remember if we were good men or bad. Why we fought, or why we died. All that matters is that two stood against many. That's what's important! Valor pleases you, Crom... so grant me one request. Grant me revenge! And if you do not listen, then to HELL with you!"

Anyhow, lemme check my options about stating my emotions.. hmm: *looks in his mind and selects* "I finished up some work, I'm very satisfied!" yeah that should do it..
wait no! I need to storytell too! *selects 'perform' and goes through menus until selecting his adventurer's and her three companions/hearthpersons building a tall wooden fort and site called Beasthome of Carnality and how the structure that was built is both a fort, a tavern (Beastmead), a seat of power (Beasthall) and eventually a library too (Bookbeast?)* .. *tells the story in vivid detail* ....... *concludes his performance* "I prefer to be indoors." .. "Goodbye." *is still thinking he's playing DF*

Heh, in all seriousness this ended up being indeed quite satisfying as finally I have my own built thing that's even better looking than whatever I tried to build in fort mode and is by far much better than a generated human fort that is usually like one floor with empty space going upward (talking of the genned central building not the ramparts/walls/gate around it). Went to the marketplace to find not much except a Draenei baron who happened to be a trader too, gave all of my stuff that I deemed unnecessary (mostly divine cloth and metal stuff) and traded them for about 5 sere-something rib chests and a gremlin crown decorated with some gem and donkey bone. Meh, I know I can get much more for that divine stuff but I don't really give a damn about commerce besides I can always go back to that vault and get some more divine candy. Dhorna is now nice and cozy in her room/fort for now, next step will be to wipe that brigand status somehow if possible and kill a few large creature I got the info about from a Draenei diplomat who used to be a hired sword for two years of his life.

*Tries to press ESC, then select save and quit and exit the game only to realize he's not playing the game anymore* o_o .. -_- .. o_o .. >_> .. <_< .. -_- .. O_O
