Ever have one of those moments when you stop and ask yourself "is what I'm planning to do here, perhaps,
too evil?"... yeah, me neither.
I got the idea to set up a cabin over a flat volcano, I got all the specifics set up, all buffed and whatnot while getting fame, and then I came across a town which was occupied by elves.
I went and told 6 or 7 soldiers about my kills, grabbed a couple of performers to round it out to an even 10, and headed out to the site where I had already planned out the construction while gathering the necessary lumber.
Sure, it would go a bit faster if I helped, but why would I pass up the chance to use elf slaves to build a volcano fort out of wood?
So I left them working and went to recruit some nice respectable dorf companions. I asked my dorfbuds to wait a short distance from the camp for reasons which will become clear shortly, then I went back and made the finishing touches in a couple spots they had to cancel apparently. Once I was satisfied I went ahead and tested to see if they would build
below the surface of the magma, and yes in fact it can be done safely!
Notice the Z-1 view, the section on the right is below the surface of the volcano!
I'm happy that I can extend further down the tube in the future, but that means I have no further need for my carpenterslaves.
So, I politely told them that our journey was at an end, they were all understanding, until I dropped into a kung fu stance and in the blink of an eye sent half of them over the side through the fortifications.
The others tried to run, wanna guess how well that works against a superbuffed 10.0 spd adventurer?
About like you'd expect.
So, with that out of the way, it was time to move my dorf buds in and settle down.
I made use of the non-wood carpenter shop products method to kill the rot, went with green glass since it goes well with the glumprongs I suplexed (which, holy crap, so much freaking wood!) and now it's a matter of getting everything all assigned and zoned and whatnot.
