After some exploring I left the island and went to the vault I ignored before, it was surprisingly uneventful, it probably has something to due with the fact their made of ash, I didn't even know I killed the archangel until I looked at my kills, anyway got the slab read it and stored it along with some other things in a labyrinth I found long ago. It seems that this slab told me the name of the moose fiend I fought awhile back, I make him my companion and we go around killing goblins. I'm considering jut banishing him, but I also could go to the other vaults and bind all the demons in the world to me, I'll have to think about it for awhile.

Either go to catacombs under temples and revive named bodies in coffins or find megabeasts' lairs and revive their victims.

Well, holy shit.

So after I reclaimed a fort and wrecked it by unknowingly opening up an adamantine tube, I decided to go exploring it as a nathrezim swordsman from the nearby demon civ - recruited a human swordsman and a dwarven drunk to accompany me.

The whole site is a complete mess, as you'd probably guess. Objects randomly thrown around, huge swarm of blips around the area on the world map - demons from hell, most likely. Corpses everywhere, too - atmospherically the Tristram theme from Diablo comes to mind, especially since at that point a blizzard was sweeping through the area, limiting the field of view outside - pretty nice atmosphere for some exploring.
Some demon merchants were on the surface too. One of the cavern layers was almost wholly burnt down - no cave moss or anything grew, it was just ash.

The faceless ones who were still around, along with their pets, didn't take too kindly to my intrusion. I killed atleast one merchant and an eliminator - unfortunately the last eliminator my group fought proved too difficult since he was wielding an iron sledgehammer - eventually he went into a martial trance and killed us all. Gonna go down there again as another adventurer and I'll try to recover atleast some of the artifacts that were made.

EDIT:So, I made 5 other adventurers or so - all except one died, either because of eliminators still wandering the fortress, or because of demons in the vicinity of the fort - one in particular seems to have gotten a bunch of kills - a fiend of brine named Fiendseduces the Poisoned Plague.

In any case, the last adventurer I made, Niredas Minedblaze, another nathrezim swordsman, managed to recover the Ashamed Quickness, a legendary marble earring.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

What was rather eerie when his turn came was that there was practically noone in the fort left anymore - even the eliminators were gone. Also, two of his drunken companions, Doren Bravestakes and Kel Diamondrelief, both died regardless, due to serrated disc traps cutting both of them apart. I was worried I myself would die at one point since I was ambushed by Hatemazes, a haunt of snow - thankfully since it was a large blob composed of snow it died in one hit, although it still managed to push me in the hand, exploding it.

Well, more of the usual, kill goblins and such, I also decided that I would just keep the demon instead of banishing him, after raiding two vaults I decided to have him stay at the labyrinth I found a long time ago. Later I kill more goblins and a hydra a few night trolls as well. My adventurer has gained many scars over her adventure, which is nice, I always like it when an adventurer gets scarred, it shows I've been in fights and survived, speaking of scars the demon I fought before and then made my companion has an absurd amount of scars on his hands, several dozen at least.I find another labyrinth and deal with its inhabitant, he actually put up a good fight, he didn't last long but he didn't die instantly so he did pretty well.

One thing that amused me a bit was when I got ambushed by a goblin and an eagle woman, their both in high in the sky, obviously the goblin can't fly so he falls to the ground and passes out due to various injuries, the eagle woman just sort of hovered above me while shooting arrows at me so I just throw my sword at her until she gets knocked out and I kill her.

During the summer a war began between the goblins and the elves, it was started by the elves, the war is going very badly for them, already the goblins have won 11 battles conquered 2 sites and reduced the population of the elves from a little over 13,000 to 6,800. Ya, their probably doomed. The elves did manage to conquer 1 site though, so they haven't completely failed.

Dreamgulf's history has been a procession of violence. Its surrounding region is the Field of Dells. Most fittingly, Lulo Drumorange the Soaked Flax, the plains titan, whose shrine is Grovewaves, has kept a murderous vigil here. It's a place of exile and home to the profane.

All monster hunters visiting a town may, at some point, consult the records, a search through Legends, as opposed to working just through word of mouth (inquire about troubles, spread rumor, etc). The dwarf Ud Claspedgrips of Trapping begins by bracketing a 70 year period in Dreamgulf (180-250, present) to start.

There's Mafol Holdgalley and Zas Brownquake, dwarves turned horse-monsters, the werewolf Sothro Faintedbuds (d. 221 siring no others) and Wimad Anguishaged the werelizard. There are the vampires Sath Nestlepulls (d. 240), Tomca Coloredgalley, and Angir Modestcurled (d. 227). All were driven to profane some temple and were cursed.

For werebeast hunting, Ud began combing The Field of Dells via fast travel, line by line. 1 world map tile southeast of Dreamgulf, in The Field of Dells, Ud discovered the lair of Wimad. It was mid-morning, after a full moon and Wimad was still a werelizard. It was a training opportunity like any other and it was punctuated by steel axe.

Ud continued his search, and 1 world map tile norththeast of Dreamgulf, he bumped into the vault Helmsbloat.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
The soot brute Ongul (who doesn't want to be soot?) created Helmsbloat with help from the dwarven goddess of muck, Ulthush. She was not like Miyazaki in any way, as her minions were made of the filthiest particulate (grime) whose material could be chipped by blunt, but easily separated by edge with one shot.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Ongul was long dead. It had been struck down in year 18. Ongul was made of soot and so was the Bane of Zagstok.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

After the vault, Ud decided to set his sights on Lulo Drumorange the Soaked Flax the plains titan. Lulo, if turned into a push only attacker would be the most rewarding.

Ah, now if only titans were immortal, we'd have that everlasting spring.

I got bored of just killing goblins, I decided it was time to deal with he great creatures of the world, so I killed the two remaining dragons a roc two bronze colossi, various semi-megabeasts and the 9 titans that live in the most northwestern part of the world, around this time winter began, this made getting water very, very difficult, so I retired and unretired until spring came.

Whew I made the world go from age of myth to age of heroes!

The time spent with the titans was certainly interesting, most of them were organic creatures and out of the 9 only one was a webber, they weren't too hard to deal with it just took awhile, but the last one, made of salt, extravision, webslinger, I swear it was mocking me, made out of such a weak material but its a WEBBER bane of all who are not web-immune! I actually got very lucky, I made a ring of campfires around myself after getting his attention and hiding...some ice melted and froze, with him in it, it was encased in ice! I hate webbers.

Now I plan on dealing with the demon masters, two are down so far, I believe their to be six in total, I made the moose fiend bound to me help in taking down one, unfortunately, the moose fiends spine was broken and he could never walk again so I banished him. four more to go.

edit: Only one demon remains, he can remain for eternity if he wants, he's made of vomit but his clothes would make killing him impossible or take so long it wouldn't be worth it.
I head off to the dark fortress where the moose fiend demon lived and went into the underworld for a vacation. I go around and kill demons for awhile, but after seeing some web slinging demons I decided I should leave and did so.

For over a year, I've been working on and off(overwhelmingly off) on a side project to legitimately bite off a human combatant's head in adventure mode. A couple of days ago I succeeded. I found that a normal human adventurer couldn't accomplish it and still met failure even with a really strong, extraordinarily trained vampire. When playing as animal people became possible, I tried testing with alligator and jaguar men. I found that they could bite off hands and feet, but they died too easily and I wasn't able to clmplete testing. Finally, I just chose the largest animal person (the elephant man), took a swordsman out back, choked him until he passed out, and stripped him of his armor before successfully biting his head off at the neck. Now, I want to see how far I can take this, but I have other things to do at the moment. Maybe I'll attempt bisection. Can't wait to sink my teeth into this one.

I said legitimately, but I did use dragons in the arena for proof of concept tests.

Well, uhh, wtf, I just came upon something really strange.

I was out in a camp where a necromancer made his home, and immediately what struck me was several butt-naked draenei running off, being chased by elf wrestler corpses.

I slaughtered pretty much everyone - the zombies, the draenei, the few normal bandits, the necromancer himself.

What's weird though is that when I brag about kills it sometimes says "it was there that I caught X draenei" as though they're wildlife - I'm not sure why exactly this even happened - I guess it's because they lack UNDEAD_CANDIDATE though they can be raised as undead? That's the only correlation I see - gonna have to investiagte.

*sniff* "Death... It is truly horrifying!" *manly tears*

Anyhow I haven't done much adventuring, been doing other stuff and figuring out meanwhile how am I going to reduce weight from the de-fatted fat from my alt killable version of an Ischrotaur as I found out that I need to have the fat tissue or something between the skin and muscle/bone to get descriptions of brain being injured but the issue is that that once the FAT is there, even with heavily modified custom "Z-FAT" my average-abilities male Ischrotaur who usually weighs 159r, weighs 230r+ something automatically as if he's in full 5000 muscle/strength buff.

Started up adventure mode again. Continued on my killing spree.

Well, first I visited the hillocks of Furnacechamber, because I'd been told repeatedly about an army marching on it. I arrive, and the dwarves are all talking about how they're about to be invaded. But no army. Did offer to rescue two of them from the army, though, and they agreed. I visit the location of the invaders' origin, the hamlet of Toetip. The lord of the hamlet is hanging out in the mead hall. Neither him nor any of his hearthpersons can tell me exactly where the other fellow associated with the invasion is, and I assume its the leader of the army itself. They all seem to think he's still in Toetip, though. I got bored and left.

Not far away I encountered an asterisk hanging out in the center of a town. I walk in, and find not one but four bandit lieutenants of the leader Song Hatevice, whom has been sending minions to harass me for weeks, hanging out around a well. They immediately come over and try to rob my companion right in front of me. They all died.

Rorec, though, revealed to me that he fucking knew where Song's camp is the entire fucking time. So now that I finally know where this asshole is, I can butcher him. We set out due south.

On the way is another razed hillocks, which is inhabited by another bandit gang. I stop in to say hi. There's one fellow guarding the civic mound, the chieftain and two others in the drinking mound (which has no drinks, they never do.) and one fellow out in the woods nearby patrolling. I kill him first, then come back for the leader and his two mooks, before walking back to the civic mound and telling the last guy, the swordsman Alece, all about all the monsters and menaces I've slain in my travels. He recognizes me as a legendary hero, and agrees to join me.

Then I tell him I killed his boss and all his friends. He spits on me now, occasionally. However, since then he has become chieftain of that bandit gang. I have the leader of a gang of bandits under my thumb.

We continue the brief trek to the camp of Song, scorpionstrap (I cant tell if its a trap or a strap for one or more scorpions). I slaughter all of the goons, two of which are asleep and one of whom is taking a wizz on a cactus or something, looking the other way. Then I find Song, likewise oblivious. I sneak up behind him and introduce myself. He asks me not to hurt anybody. While shooting at me. I let him have a couple tiles head start, then latch on and pin him down so my friends can beat him to death. Bistkash claims the kill with her mighty copper warhammer.

Now Alece calls me an unhinged killer for slaughtering Songs' henchmen, but at the same time Rorec, Bistkash, and the dwarves Olon and Bomrek declare me a protector of the defenseless and my killing the henchmen as "just."
This game really takes the perspective of the persons you talk to into perspective.

Long live Kofi Ivoryorange the Elder Quill of Blades the tiger woman, either legendary hero and protector of the meek or unhinged lunatic, depending on who you ask.

Started a barroom brawl, because that's just the way I was feeling. Such fun!  I punched him, he kicked me, I missed biting his nose off and then my companion put a silver crossbow bolt through his head.

The lovely thing is, the AI correctly assigns blame to my 'unhinged' companion for escalating the fight when I ask people about it (it was inevitable) while I remain a 'somewhat violent' bar fighter (but a pleasure to speak with).

So, I decided to generate a new world based off of the map of our Earth, and gotta say, it's fairly interesting so far.

I think whoever is this world's equivalent of the Soviets won the war, as America is a winter wonderland. All of the worlds oceans are evil, too - mainland bodies of water are fine, though.

Dwarves seem to be mostly confined to the southern and middle parts of Africa. Goblins are in Russia and most of Africa, Orcs seem to be mostly confined to South America, several other races are spread out across the various continents.

Made a draconian adventurer, starting in America, killed 2 griffins and a cave brute so far on request from my scalebane. Unfortunately the first griffin bit off one of my legs, but eh, I have 3 more. We'll see how it goes later, hopefully there'll be some more interesting stuff I find out.
