Interesting. Though I didn't know that sense thing had an AI effect.

Either way...yeah. Lots of possible causes. ;w;

But aside from pain values, have you ever seen a night troll with its back to the door you came in through? Megas and semis do this all the time, leave themselves vulnerable to a preliminary strike that they rarely recover from. Not night trolls, they're always on their guard.
I suspect that's because night trolls have [SENSE_CREATURE_CLASS:GENERAL_POISON:15:4:0:1].
More creatures should have that, especially angels.
With a wee-bit of hex-editing and a creature-variation, other procedureally-generated creatures can! The caveat is that angels draw their tags from templates for the other random monsters, meaning that you can't alter them alone, unless I'm forgetting something.

Let the desire for tinkering flow through you! Unleash your mad-creativity! :P

Mind, as hacking goes, it's really rather tame. It's simply a slightly unusual method of tag-replacement (and subsequent tag-adding.)

you could just migrate an orc adventurer to a dorf site but playing an orc civ is also something I would have modded.
so I finally got an adventurer with a fulfilled dream... in 05.
and it for brewing and not raising a family.

Very interesting, the skill ranges for [NIGHT_CREATURE_HUNTER] from lvls 4 skilled-to-9 professional. Might be misreading that, but that seems about right, no? That might be for bogeymen. Also, the difficulty of 1. No wonder the renown levels are so low.

Based on a quick perusal of a few uncompressed saves, night trolls have a natural skill level of six, while bogeymen have a level of nine. Also, I stand slightly corrected. The lowest-level angels have a natural skill-level of four, something that no other random-creatures have. So, at least one tier of angel can be modded without changing anything else.

Never read any of the books, only played a game or two and read the lore of the thing. One of my inspirations for naming races and things though.

Anyway, I'm trying to figure out how to customize my companions (switch race) or get my other adventurer to be my companion.
