No its a bug. Neck injuries during world gen are not fatal when they should be.

Ah, I see. I've seen people shrug off pulped necks in normal gameplay, but getting it yanked off and surviving is some serious shenanigans. owo

What happens is they no longer have a brain. Meaning they are unable to breathe, stand, grasp, or see. So they die fairly quickly when it happens. He was my adventurers lord. That's the only reason I caught this. He didn't suffocate yet.

Edit: Also I would like to point out that his name is very fitting, and the titan died a karmic death. He shot him to death and the titan never knew he was there. The titan doomed him to suffocate, and he doomed the titan to suffocate(mostly because the webs made melee suicidal). He was weak and clumsy, but he had the highest endurance ever seen and was tough.

It seems anything with a shell is vulnerable to piercing attacks. Past the shell is nothing but squishy vital organs, and stabs and missiles go right in and tear it all up.

Yes. But it didnt really pierce the shell. The bolts REMOVED the shell from cumulative damage.
