So This time around I figured I would do things extremely carefully.
I played a Hammerdwarf (off course).
I only reported so much fame as to recruit my 3 companions (vampire spearman that soon became spearmaster, a swordsdwarf and a crippled and veru useless crossbowman.)
I set out to raid any Lair I could find in attempt to find steel for my dwarfs and to level up fighting skills with easy targets. This went very well. I was even able to take down a few camps without any losses.
Then I found the mother of all xp-farms. A cobold cave! I slaghered my way to the first caverns getting my guys up to legendary and actuallay believed that I had finally made a successful adventurer without the use of training exploits.
I then dodged into an underground lake and died. Along with my friends who dove after me.

So I got a quest to kill a werewolf in masterwork. Werewolves and vampires are way more dangerous than in vanilla due to the Fear the Night mod bundled in Masterwork. One werebeast already killed three relatively new adventurers of mine, mind you.

I didn't have any silver weapons I could use to fight the werewolf, and the only blunt weapon I had was a copper morningstar. Still, it'd do more damage than a cutting weapon if the peasant transformed, which I kinda wanted him to do so I could get bitten and become a werebeast myself. I had killed a couple werechameleons in the past though, and going by their speed I figured I could keep up with the werewolf and avoid getting outmatched and mauled.

I go in the lair, and immediately hack off the peasant's hand with my bloodsteel blade-whip.

I had got a quest to kill a dragon and got to its lair I thought there was just one but there was TEN! I was a vampire/necromancer at this point so I decided to raise them all and keep them as an undead dragon army.

I later traveled to a necromancer tower and retired...after I unretired I got a quest to kill a nameless dragon that was undead... I also got 3 more quests to kill nameless dragons that were undead. Apparently if you kill dragons and bring them back to life and retire they go to random lairs and you have to kill them AGAIN.

I had actually found one living in a labyrinth with 2 minotaurs :o they spread through our the entire world, I've literally had to travel across the entire world to get from one dragon to the other.

so ya if your a necromancer with undead dragon companions kill them before you retire xD

I wouldn't kill them because that is rather cool,10 undead dragons empowered by a mad necromancer has spread across the whole world and are terrorising the villiagers and you have to kill these fearsome monsters

So, I was going to kill my first titan, had a squad (platoon? Battalion?) of about 18 people, mostly drow (masterwork) and human bandits. All of a sudden, I see

"The iron bolt has lodged firmly in the wound!"
"The severed part goes sailing off in an arc"
"Firebreather Mctitan has been struck down."

One of my companions SHOT THE TITAN'S TORSO OFF.
Illustrated with the below graph:

I have some badass companions.  8)

Edit:

After reviewing legends mode, the badass who managed that OHK was "Osuthu Bloodpoisoned".  No prior history, but still.... damn.

I took a lone berserker (norse fortress mod) and expected to find modded elves as a kill quest. I was wrong. I had to fight Eldjotun, fire giants (also norse fortress) and I slew eleven before I took an axe to my spine. I also had some fun grabbing size 3,000,000 weapons and hurling them at them.

Recently had a fairly successful adventure, wandering the world visiting most of the towers and learning their secrets. Killed a bunch of shit on the way, then retired in a town by the sea.

Then my turn on the Museum succession game started. I've been clobbering people with my silver warhammer, until I ran into an alligator snapping turtle who nommed my shield arm, tearing up the nerves, and then shot by a kobold bandit, wrecking my foot. I've resigned to spend the next month sneaking around a town until the full moon. Then I'll pay that reptile woman I beat the living shit out ofmet a visit and let her bite me a couple times. All goes well I become whatever wacky werebeast she happens to be and continue on the path to ‼GLORY‼ and possibly ‼VENGEANCE‼. And hopefully not bogeymen. I hate bogeymen...

started my third misc object user dwarf after the past two met terrible and untimely and unsatisfying deaths at the hands of a night troll ambushing me in the night and giants wrestling me to death, respectively.

My starting hamlet was apparently in the middle of the historical process of evicting a necromancer. A peasant told me that "a force of darkness has descended upon us. Slay Hummie McNecromancer. Search first in a cottage to the east of here." I go east and find a gang of peasants slowly punching the poor guy to death already, with a ranger taking some potshots at him from nearby. An armorsmith dealt the killing blow by somehow getting a hold of a steel bolt that was lodged in the necro, and stabbing him in the head with it.

...I promptly reported my epic tale of slaying the necromancer myself to this same armorsmith, who was enthralled with my success. Ha. I looked around and couldn't find a slab or a book in the hamlet. The necro didn't have it on him. Either Masterwork's various tinkerings messed with that, or slabs and books with secrets aren't generated until a necromancer leaves and builds a tower/bandit camp during world gen.

Anyway, I took a steel bolt with me to use as a weapon. One of the first fortresses I stopped for armor was named Onebolt, with several books named "The Art of Onebolt" and "Only Onebolt". It's a sign. I will wield a steel bolt as my main weapon. Testing it on some wolves and a gremlin and it seems really effective.

...I also narrowly avoided getting brutally murdered by a demon shortly after leaving the hamlet. That was pretty crazy. Only reason I escaped was because I managed to duck out of sight long enough to start sneaking.

Thad Bunchsnuggled, after being resurrected by Armok because his death was not heroic (in dorf standards that is) Is now at his first serious quest to kill Some gobo leader in a camp.

So far he's winning the battle reasonably well. Still unscratched, but it's the beginning of the battle so there is more to come.
