The teeth of snakemen seem rather dull. Can someone check and see how how their teeth are in the raws, and how it compares to dwarves? My snakeman outsider is stymied by clothing, let alone armor.

As I've brought up before wearing clothing converts edge damage to blunt damage entirely too easy. Try stabbing someone with a dagger through a shirt, coat, and pants. You may as well punch them.

Leather will usually do a better job of that though. Also the difficulty of the shot plays a part in that (I usually get torn muscle/fat for tricky or difficult shots on enemies wearing leather and wool if it isn't a center mass hit.)

Just found out that to bypass this fire problem your character has to be insane. So I guess I need to make a "Alternate walking cause me to go bonkers" utility that allows you to walk normally through fire/future safety measures or just stop walking and ride a minecart every where.

I ran into a necromancer's tower in an attempt to make a dash for the slab, but got stabbed in the hand on the way and dropped my longsword. I grabbed a book (named, morbidly, "Then Nobody Laughs") on the way, and eventually confronted a necromancer. Forgetting that I had dropped my weapon earlier, I walked into him and unintentionally bashed him in the head with the book, killing him instantly. Having cleared that floor, I then read it... and discovered that he was the author.

Soon afterward, I had a fork planted in my brain by his fellow necromancers, but that's another story I suppose.

Made a hammerman, fought a werebeast in human form.  It was the single most even fight I have ever had.  And she was naked.  If she had had a single weapon, or if she were in werebeast form, I would have been torn to shreds.  Must have been legendary in some skill or another.

But my guy leveled up quick, got to expert hammer skill, and eventually beat her unconsciousness, and then death.  It was an epic fight.  Blocking and dodging constantly for both sides, me with a shield, her with her bare hands.  She actually collapsed due to over-exertion, and I guess that's part of what tipped the balance in my favor.

Then my guy got ambushed by a cheetah.  I broke the animal's ribs, and bit it's tongue off while it was unconscious.  I knocked out all its teeth too, so I nicknamed the thing "Toothless".  So now I had this short and muscular adventurer, with long greasy hair ( I think ) with a cheetah tongue hanging between his teeth.

Then he got killed by a lasher.  Circle of life?

Came back to DF after a long time away, and decided to try adventure mode again. I made a human swordsman, and went over to a fort in a town and grabbed some meatshields adventuring buddies. While recruiting I noticed a floorhatch next to the lord of the fort and decided to see what was down there. I found a weird network of rooms and corridors and stairs, the only entrance/exit of which is right next to the lord. Inside the network I found some clothes and armor scattered about, some cut gems lying around, a lot of human skeletons, and a handful of hostile humans led by a commander who boasted about his kills. A group of bandits and their leader probably. Anyway, I killed them all, did some looting and left, and spread news of my success in the lord's manor. That was an interesting way to start off an adventure. Well, off to kill the bandits the people tell me to kill!

My new adventurer has earned the nickname "The Dusks of Twilight" is just slightly edged out his other proposed nickname "The Redundancies of Repeating Yourself"

That would be the keep's dungeon. Every town/city keep has one. Size varies greatly, from what I've seen.

And they're often one of the most dangerous places to be, from my experience...

On another pilgrimage to the section where three Dwarf civs meet. Originally set out with two Dwarves.
One drowned whilst crossing a river. On the way I found an Elf Fortress with Dwarf captives.
Recruited two Elves and a Dwarf after killing a batman warlord.

Killed my first unicorn too. Up to 53 kills total now, and roughly 2/5ths of my journey is done. A slight detour has been made to a cave leading to the caverns.

What's unusual though, is that there's a demon outside the entrance. Odd.

*EDIT
It killed us all. My copper battleaxe was simply not up to the task when it broke my arms.

Yeah, how come dungeon-dwelling bandits always have night vision goggles!
