Pale, Drowsy, Thirsty, and Hungry with a broken left hand, left upper arm, left upper leg, a smashed open chest and torn open head.

Armed, with a large copper dagger.

EDIT: Attempted to escape, got my right foot broken. Back to the pool.

EDIT EDIT: The wolf has left. Looks like four unicorns, one of which has a fractured hoof.

EDIT EDIT EDIT: One just leapt into the water and kicked my skull through my brain.

Spent twenty minutes looking for the entrance to a dwarven city that was on my map.  Finally checked the wiki to see what I should be looking for only to learn that dwarf fortresses and tree cities are not actually there, just their map marker is.  Oh well.

You can change them to make them live in towns.

Hi!

Going slowly this time, I got a few kills (more than 30, I think, which is more than my notable kills of all previous runs combined). Ambusher being Legendary for a quite a while now (3,500XP needed for the next level of Legendary) and with iron greaves and other metal and leather armor pieces combined in a suitable manner, I was travelling to the next town in hope of finding some steel weapon.

Along the way, I notice that a labyrinth (?) was nearby, and never having seen one before, I decided to pay it a visit....

The Minotaur punches You in the left hand with her right hand, shattering the bone through the ｮbronze left gauntletｯ!
You lose hold of the bronze shield.
You are no longer stunned.
The Minotaur Child gores You in the head with her right horn, bruising the muscle, jamming the skull through the brain and tearing the brain!
You have been knocked unconscious!
You have been struck down.

I think I had about three turns or so before those two had finished me off.

Lesson learned: Stay away from labyrinths until you are deemed worthy to get them as a quest :) :) :) :)

Had 2 unfinished quests from nearly the beginning of my adventure, because I couldn't find the guys I was supposed to kill. In the mean time, went about killing other things, including dragons and titans and whatnot, and making a name for myself (which, btw, is Sazir Helmeddiamons the Ambiguous Absolute Sky-Blush of Cake). Went back to that town and managed to find one of the marks in some temple I hadn't noticed. The other guy, I'm convinced he's in the sewers, but after some exploring, the only path left is a pit, of which I can't see the bottom and die in a splatter if I jump in.
I could leave it at that and do other (more glorious) quests, but it really bugs me to see it there every time I open the Quest menu.

Training my companions to swim. It involves a lot of jumping in and out of a pool and savescumming if they don't make it back out ok, and saving the game if they do. I've got 5 of them to train, and the fifth is on crutches and so is moving very slowly and won't get mucgh training until everyone else stops floundering. And will then promptly die...

Wow... That's just... But won't they just all get slaughtered next time you're ambushed, or whatever?

Indeed their chances of survival seem to get slimmer the more effort you put into them, but nonetheless I packed 7 full suits of bronze or better gear (including steel!) out of a castle keep, and I insist on distributing it to my companions. Now if only I could figure out who had the seventh and where they died...

My efforts weren't in vain, it seems! I've successfully trained all five of them. I estimate that there's a 75% chance at least one of a group of 5 unskilled morons will die anytime they're exposed to water, even if they're adjacent to shore. It was horrible.

Now I intend to find a river and swim down it until we reach the nearby necromancer tower, draw a few zombies out and do battle with their newfound attribute increases, giving them some much-needed skill training. These companions will be tanks.

Jeha Rosewater the Poison of Death, Human Bowman, just spent (less than) half a day throwing rocks. She is now a legendary thrower and archer.

Next stop: getting some quests, getting some meatshields, and going off to slaughter things!

I just got ambushed by a guy. He's alone and won't attack me. I can talk to him. Was thinking of passing by a fort and to get some companions, so I recruited him. I hope it doesn't somehow backfire.

Earlier (much earlier) I went into a dungeon where I could talk to the guards, but my other companions attacked. I'm confused...

Turns out he had been a companion of mine earlier. I don't know how I lost him, but I'm guessing he once must've run off to kill some random animal and I didn't have the patience to wait for him, or something. He didn't even have a weapon anymore...
Then I crossed a river, and he drowned while wrestling an alligator snapping turtle, despite not knowing how to swim. What an asshole...

I'm currently raising an army of the dead as a vampire necromancer. Sure, it consists mostly of mutilated cat, dog, and peacock/hen corpses, but still. And I think there's a couple crabs and horseshoe crabs in there as well.
