After about 15 companions, many real-life minutes, a couple dozen tossed swords, much stabbing and punching and about 10 dead necromancers, I have learned the secrets of life and death!

I just fought a vampiric Law-Giver with over a thousand kills.  I'm pretty sure that the thousand plus pieces of jewelry were slowing him down, because after I cut off his arms, he actually seemed faster and dodgier.

I also just found a dungeon that was very very very full of dwarves.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
This would explain the sudden lag in this area.

There are enough dwarves for a fortress, aren't there?

I don't know exactly.  But each room off the dungeon's T-Intersection had about that many dwarves in it. If I can get that adventurer to be a necromancer, I might come back to it.

right now, i'm testing out the effectiveness of an undead dragon.... so far so good!!

i would say i'm more conservative when it comes to raising the dead.

This one cracked me up. Me playing as a young human male adventurer. Walking in the woods looking for stuff to kill when suddenly a voice booms: You will remember the Amazing
glitters when we are done with you!

...

laughter.

I'm not sure what they where going to do with me but I ran in to hiding, stealthed and then I took them from behind!  ;)

The Cavy Sow bites You in the right upper leg, bruising the fat through the sheep wool coat!
The Cavy Sow latches on firmly!

You break the grip of The Cavy Sow's teeth from Your right upper leg!
The Cavy Sow bites You in the upper body, bruising the muscle and bruising the right lung through the sheep wool coat!
The Cavy Sow latches on firmly!

A mortal wound, by the way...

EDIT: Survived that encounter. Just happened across a dead wild hog (not my doing). I was mystified until I noticed an alligator some distance away. This is also by a river, and I noticed some blood running down the river a ways away...

The Devils of Stasis attacked me. I had lost several adventurers to them, so I just decided to end it right there, right now.
I killed them with the help of my undead army, and drained the leader's blood. Then I had my undead friends kill two marksdwarves.

Being a vampire necromancer is fun, especially when simple wounds don't mean anything to you, because you're technically not even alive.

I'm having some truely badass moments. Like bisecting a goblin with a sword made of silver and destroying a goblin's right floating ribs, left floating ribs and liver in 1 slash.

A rather bizarre moment, although I'm sure this is nothing uncommon.
