I think werecurses only spread by biting. Also, I have to find a reptile man in the sewers, but the FPS is like 2 :-\

My army is huge.  I slaughtered my way through a village, killing over 150 people and dozens of farm animals, now I'm marching on Mineglaze, the human fortress.

And I just got encased in ice trying to cross a river manually (Which you have to do now, you can no longer cross them automatically)

Sometimes I really hate this stupid game.

I was given a quest to kill a necromancer very close to a large city. I thought it was going to be easy, just a necromancer and a couple of easy zombie elves. Shortly after opening the tower doors, this happened:

Gotta love surprises.

To be honest, I've taken to sacescumming due to the random deaths. Like hell am I going to spend another hour grinding before I hunt some vampires to raid a Necrotower!

It seems very dwarven to use the hell itself as a garbage disposal. I can just see this isolated pile of goblin clothing, rotten food, and chunks of animals sitting there in a featureless plain, slowly cooking in the heat as demons pick at it.

Got lost while looking for a vampire, ended up stumbling into a tomb.
Found myself a mummy, got into a fight with it. My partner got bit up real good, and I lost the use of my left arm, but we killed the mummy.
Walked outside, fell asleep for a few hours, that traitor ditched me in the middle of the night. Had to fight off night creatures.
Went to sleep inside the tomb for safety, woke up, now I'm on top of the tomb.
Seems like the only thing left to do is kill myself. There's no way down that doesn't involve reaching terminal velocity.

Worth a try.
Also, random question. How long have you been here?

Just a note: If you don't teleport down, you could always jump and hope you survive. Then sleep a whole day. My adventurer healed a shattered leg bone in a day with normal regeneration.

Yeah, I think pretty much anything heals instantly when you sleep.

My one handed dwarf wins over you puny humans. All i have is my dignity and teeth. My iron shield and my lost left hand which i cannot find. This marks the day of Geshud Swordbeard, adventurer, biter.

I took on a group of 6 human fighters with one legend and won thanks to my throwing abilities and biting :D

An inspiration to us all  8)

My human high master axeman necromancer vampire (Phew, quite a mouthful) hasn't had a right hand since before he was a vampire, but he's always gotten on fine. A few too many near misses with archers lead to grabbing as much protective gear as he could, which worked. For a while.

The lower spine was broken in a huge fight with a warlord and a dozen goons. While feeding atop his corpse, I was shot from behind. The spine healed, but there was heavy bruising on the nervous tissue. Now, every wound bar nervous tissue has healed within an hour (game time).

It was a good few months in Fortress mode for nervous tissue to heal. How long do you guys reckon it'll take? Been two days now. Sleeping for the first time since I became a necromancer too.

tl;dr FUN

I decided to reclaim my FPS, and thus started to kill all merchants in the bazaar/market area. There are a couple of heads going about and ripping hands off, which I also reanimate. My companions list is 7 pages long. Fun stuff.
