Did you have any trouble landing hits on him?  I know that when I tried to make a creature entirely out of feathers, attacks just "passed straight through."

Yeah I did-- that's why it took so long.  But though he caused me to pass out, he never could actually KILL me for some reason.  So I woke up and attacked him some more.  Eventually I got lucky and lopped off his head.

It may not have been entirely made of feathers in the end, but I know that EVERY single part of it was described as being covered in feathers... dunno what it was actually made of now that I think of it...

If they're already skinned anyway, is it evil for me to fashion leather armor out of their skin?
Hell, I'd do it. Are you using a mod that allows such crafting?

The Wanderer's mod, yeah.  Though it does seem a bit bugged in that I can't equip my goblin bone gauntlets ,but eh, that's okay, I found some better iron ones anyway from a goblin warlord I killed.

So, i was on my way to the other end of the world to kill a swamp titan, and got ambushed by goblins. My female elven adventurer was kicking some pretty serious ass, as were my 3 companions.

Then they died.

I made sure my adventurer lived up to the name "Awemedinade" (at least partially) by slaughtering EVERY. LAST. GOBLIN.

I now pretend that she has the "doesn't really care about anything anymore" tag, and her INFINITE RAAAAGE against goblins compulses her to rid the world of all goblins. So, once i kill this titan, it's off to the local dark fortress to kill me some goblin scum.

I was fighting against a titan made of tigereye (yeah, a gemstone titan), and it was kicking my ass, knocking me around after killing off my companions.

And then, after it had knocked me on my ass and stunned me, I got a lucky shot, stabbed its neck, and decapitated it with my two-handed iron sword like something out of Berserk.

I'm now being sent against a cave dragon.  Woo!  Caverns!

I was Pale after having an arm and a leg chopped off. THEN I got tendon/ligament damage in my other arm and was shot multiple times, with 4-6 bolts hitting me in the upper body.

When I pull out a bolt that was embedded in my gut, I bled to death.

Side-note: For some reason, enemy archers can stick a bolt through my chest from across the screen--without needing to see me--, but my archers can only hit a toe from 10 tiles. What the HELL is wrong with this game?

Modified the game because I was tired of seeing that broken finger.  They now heal up at half the rate (200 instead of 100) of skin instead of not at all, heh.

And now, after slaying dragons, titans, and so on....

...they send me against a Night Creature?  Damn.  Given all the ones I slayed just to get to the titans and dragons, this must be one badass night creature...

"Disem Shadowdusks the Ashen Death", a Moon Creature.

Nnnoope.  I cut her left hand off, her right arm at the shoulder, and then bisected her.  Poor night creature.  You may have killed a dozen masters and law-givers of human lands, but you face no mere human, but the Melissia Blackheart the Moral Suffering, and the last surviving Elf!

edit:  Lucky decapitations are my friend :D  First an ettin, and now a dark troll, both of which were knocking me around-- even bashing me into walls-- and then I got a lucky stab to the head, decapitating them.

I just realized why my game is going so slowly after checking runesmith.

Apparently, about five hundred clowns spawned in HFS beneath the only castle with a master in it able to give me quests.

And they appear to be having a war against reptile men.

Yeah, this is stupid.  I'm tempted to use Runesmith's genocide feature.  It's not like we'll ever really run out of clowns anyway if we ever breach HFS.

That would be amusing, but I'd rather cheat as litle as possible.  I only checked so that I could see what the hell was going on.

I might build a dwarf fort and intentionally dig down to a cavern and get slaughtered though (and send my adventurer to explore the corpse of the dwarfhold) once I run out of named creatures to hunt on the surface.

My world has entered the Age of Fairy Tales because I murdered everything that was above the surface.

Let's start on the things below the surface now.
