300 human/elf/dwarf/goblin/kobold bodies 20 random animal/fish/bird bodies and 3 dragon bodies all in one backpack. fun stuff.

Speaking of, apparently the blunt attacks for a silver sword don't do much. I've hit an enemy in the head with the flat of my silver longsword and it bruised the skin. Here's how it all went:

You slap The Swordsman in the head with the flat of your silver long sword, bruising the skin!
The Swordsman strikes You in the head with the pommel of his copper scimitar, bruising the muscle, jamming the skull through the brain and tearing the brain!
You have been knocked unconsious!
You have been struck down.
I've never actually seen a blade slap do anything but piss someone off.

Journal entry of Suwu Uthrossimin Kelkif Escu, 17th of Granite, 108

I have gathered enough travelling companions to bring our total up to about 10 counting myself. We have travelled to a camp about ten miles away from the fortress, and have killed the bandits with no losses. I find a bag with only a copper coin and a boning knife, most likely iron, as well as an empty backpack. I decide to pick them up to use later on.

While my companions and I travel back to the closest hamlet to report our kill, we are ambushed by a group known as the "Autumnal Fortune". They outnumber us by about 3 or 4 more soldiers. During the battle, we have lost a wrestler and our only other swordsman took an arrow of bronze to the throat. While bleeding heavily, he has not yet grown faint. I have not yet been injured, but I fear I may lose the fight.

I, right now, stand next to our unconsious axeman. He was beaten badly, having a fractured skull and various other bones broken or fractured. I have taken down his assailant, a maceman, with a blow to the head with the pommel of my trusty longsword. My sword, however, is made of copper, and copper is not the hardest or strongest material around. My other swordsman had another longsword of iron. I plan to pick it up and keep it with me, potentially dual-wielding it with my own sword.

I must return to fighting. If I just stand here, I most likely shall die.
-----
Most of what happened is written in this journal entry. Yes, I pick up 9 traveling buddies, yes, I killed a pair of bandits at that camp (Yes, two), and yes, I was ambushed. I have yet to find out whether I'll win or not.

So strike him with your sword's pommel next time then.
And yes, I also killed a maceman with the pommel of my copper long sword.

I'd like it if someone could translate my character's name and title, I can't right now.

I murdered 189 people. I walked into a dusk elf settlement, removed all of my clothes, dropped all my weapons and I killed 189 people.  I got to 120 before 15+ elves came down on me and one shattered my foot. Then I lashed out, slashing at throats and heads, spilling guts, hacking off fingers and toes just to cause more pain before the darkness closed in. But it didn't, after 10 elves lay around me in various states of mutilation the rest fled but instead of escaping I pursued them. I grabbed the weapons of the fallen and threw them to slow down my victims and I fell on them with all my fury grappling with my legs and arms while stabbing with my knives. I have few victims in this town now, but the experience has rendered me nothing short of a god. With the body count nearing 200 I've cleared this settlement and I go forward, crawling forever on my knees a slow but unstoppable and indefatigable force coated in blood and clutching a dagger in my scarred hands. Forget forgotten beasts, titans, and clowns, I am fear.

We are victorious, but at a cost. Our two wrestlers, our spearman, and our other swordsman lie dead. My archers are extremely low on ammunition, one out. I have four or five quivers full of more ammo, but I do not believe that they will pick them up.

I have picked up my swordsman's iron sword, as well as a multitude of other weapons: two bows of iron, two of copper, and one of bronze, a morning-star of bronze, another copper longsword, a scimitar also of copper, and an enemy swordsman escaped with a two-handed sword of bronze. A hammerman also ran off, his weapon I believe was a maul of copper. I find no use for it, preferring instead to use edged items, but the maul could have made good money. Those two were the only ones to escape. Cowardly bastards...

We go to the bandit camp with ten men counting me. We defeat the two bandits with no losses, and I come out with a rather small amount of loot. We travel back to the closest hamlet, and are ambushed. The enemy had fourteen soldiers. Two have escaped, and the others are killed. We lose four good soldiers in the process. Our archers are down to about 7 bolts or arrows per person. My group travels back to the hamlet with a severely wounded axeman with 7 bones broken. a severely wounded crossbowman that is in pale condition. I have heard that the doctors in town do not help injured people, so we can only hope that, with time, our wounded will heal naturally.

We survived one ambush. I plan on bringing my group to several other bandit camps. I pray I will not lose any more than I need to.

I have heard stories of a man, a retired man, a very experienced warrior. His name is Jasro Wealthstood the Ripe Armour of Soaking. A rather odd title. I seek to find this man and take him with me on my adventures. Who knows, with the fame of him and me combined, we could get a quest to find and kill fearsome night creatures, mighty minotaurs, or even a fabled dragon...
-----
I do actually wish to seek out my old adventurer, but he is about 400 or 500 in-game miles away from where my current adventurer is now. I must trek across a large ocean bay, through several towns where the True Empire is mainly situated, possible stopping in the shops to sell accumulated loot in exchange for food and drink, and finally hitting the capital and asking to defeat fearsome night beasts and possibly mighty dragons.

EDIT: I should probably move these to the Community Games & Stories forum. Sorry if I waste space.

I have gained enough fame to take lowly peasants with me. I ask a miner to follow us, but he says "I am unfit to brave danger with you." when he is carrying a pick of bronze in his hand! Oi. I then walk over to a house to have some peasants join my cause. I also try to ask a woodcutter to join, but he said the exact same thing the miner said--and the woodcutter was carrying a greataxe! It was of copper, however, so it wouldn't make a very good weapon material. I swear, if these people don't decide that their weapons are good enough, I will steal their weapons, but that is considered an action that shall turn my entire home civilisation on me.

Anyways, my travelling companions and I have gone to yet another bandit camp with only two bandits. We, or should I say I, have defeated them without any losses yet again. We hike out to the closest hamlet to report yet another success. Hopefully this will gain more fame.

I have sold the shields and most of the weapons that I have gathered from my fallen foes and friends, among the ones sold being a whip of silver and a morning-star of bronze, and the ones kept being a bow of copper, a battle axe, also of copper, and the longsword of iron from my only other swordsman. With this money, I have bought two barrels of alcoholic beverages, a longsword of bronze, a bronze pick, and a shortsword of copper. I hear that Jasro carries multiple shortswords with him, and a lot more personal items, mainly alcohol barrels.

Speaking of, I have not eaten or drank anything recently. I will have to stop for a quick drink and a light meal before we head off to the next bandit encampment.
-----
Yes, I had my old guy buy several copper shortswords, and a lot of other weapons. He, so far, has 17 quiver's worth of ammunition crammed into one quiver. I plan to retire this guy temporarily to go back to my old guy (who has lived in the capital of the True Empire for about 8 years now), sell his excess equipment to speed him up significantly, re-retire him, go back to this guy, and go find Jasro. Yes, I am going out of my way to loot every bandit camp I can, mainly just to gain fame.

Yes, I also treat my guy as if he still needs to eat and drink. I stop every now and then for a light meal of perhaps cougar meat, a drink of strawberry wine, and a bite of prepared lion intestines before moving back on.

UPDATE: I just killed a lasher in two shots, like this:

You charge at The Lasher!
You stab The Lasher in the upper body with your copper long sword, tearing the muscle and shattering the right false rib through the donkey leather cloak!
A tendon in the right false rib has been torn!

You collide with The Lasher!
The Lasher is knocked over and tumbles backward!

The Lasher loses hold of the sheep wool shoe.
The Lasher loses hold of the sheep wool sock.
The Lasher loses hold of the sheep wool shoe.
The Lasher loses hold of the sheep wool sock.
The Lasher loses hold of the rope reed fiber trousers.
The Lasher loses hold of the water buffalo leather braies.

You slash The Lasher in the lower body with your copper long sword and the severed part sails off in an arc!
Lasher has been struck down.

Did you read that post? I said TWO BLOODY SHOTS!!!!!

I killed an elephant with two shots.

The (thrown) spinning copper bolt strikes the elephant in the left rear leg tearing the muscle, an artery has been torn, a ligament has been torn.

The elephant gives into the pain.

You stab the elephant in the head with the copper bolt, chipping the skull and tearing the brain.

Elephant is unconscious
Elephant has been struck down!

I generated a world with a ridiculous number of titans, megabeasts and caves, so now the world map is literally 70% caves. I went into one and now I'm stuck in a cavern with loads of nasty beasties that won't even attack me (I'm an elf). I'll try to find my way under a town and get out that way. Not that the towns have any people in them, of course...

I went to sleep near a fire with my travelling friend. When I woke up, she had burned to death. I'm doing what I did with my other crossbowwoman and placing her on the highest point (alright, somewhere that isn't the highest point) of a mountain.
