Decided to start a new adventurer and this time have a go at story telling, it's my first and it was pretty fun doing it
The tale of Omjhi Flameanger, Orc Hero.
Omjhi Flameanger stood at the edge of the ring of hunters, the flame flickered in his eyes, this was the 3rd pack of wolves that they had killed and have now proceeded to burn to a crisp. He brushed a long, crimson braid from his eye with a pale, green hand, he took up his black steel battle axe and then started to walk away from his cheering Orc bretheren as they danced around the burnt corpses. He wished for more than this, he wished to no longer have to sit in his small hut waiting for the next hunt time and time again. He came to a calm river in the midst of the trees and looked around for any creatures that would of liked to make him dinner and walked down to the bank carefully.
He knelt down and took his waterskin from his backpack ready to fill up, but something caught his eye. A strange glitter in the sand on the other side of the river was calling out to him. The old sages say not to go into the water but Omjhi loved things that shined and the temptation was too much, he waded into the dark water slowly. It was much deeper than he thought and he couldn't swim well but he had some practice in the past. Quite a few times did Omjhi think he saw shadows in the water but he disregarded them as 'bloody mind tricks' as he liked to call them. Once he got the other side he found a coin, it shined in the sunlight and Omjhi was facinated. He quickly found that there was another coin nearby, and another, and another, he proceeded to pick up the long trail until it came to a dark cavern entrance.
The trail carried on inside and Omjhi could hear the faint sound of someone crying, he got low to the ground and proceeded quietly into the darkness, the passage twisted and turned but was fairly linear until it came to a large chamber with a huddled mass in the middle, this was where the crying was coming from. "'ere you, you alright?" he called out towards the shape, no answer except a faint whimper. He walked slowly towards it, the darkness intensifying as he got closer, a red light appeared, and then another, Omjhi started to quickly and quietly walk backwards as the shape started to stand and followed Omjhi. Omjhi quickened his pace and so did the strange creature, he looked at the creature in horror as it came into the light, it was a small girl, but her gray skin was rough and cracked, a menacing horn was upon her head and her long claws were like daggers. She shot a smile at Omjhi and let out a soft sigh. Omjhi took out his axe and held it in both hands, the beast did not like this and her smile became a terrifying grimace, she let out a piercing scream and attacked.
She pounced at Omjhi but he dodged and she smacked into the cavern wall, she seemed unfazed by this and pounced again, but Omjhi was quicker and smarter and as she pounced, he dodge and she went straight into a wall, Omjhi was hesitant about harming the girl but he realised that this was no girl and at the next chance he had he swung his axe with all his might, and in an instant black blood and dark green guts spilled out of her stomach and she feel to the floor, silent. Omjhi turned his back on the creature and walked towards the entrance but to his surprise the girl pounced upon his back and bit into his shoulder hard, he broke her grip and swung his axe at he leg, chopping it clean off, the beast fell to the floor writhing in pain and cursing loudly, Omjhi stuck his axe into the ground and walked towards the creature. "Stay dead, wench." He then dropped a heavy steel boot upon her head crushing it to pieces. He watched the blood spill out in facination but then he heard a loud roar from within the cave, her father was home and he is pissed, he could see two large red lights in the darkness coming closer, he then picked up his axe and readied himself...
