"Well you seem to have a way with that axe Fel, are you ready for your next task? "
Kasmko asked as Fel and his band of four heroes entered Echoedbottles long and empty halls. Asa stood back and watched the fortress and it's lady with intent eyes, trying to discover Kasmko's plans. Fel stood straight and held his chin high, Kasmko smirking at his new posture.
"I seek justice, Kasmko, nothing more, tell me where I go and the blade of my axe will follow, I only ask to move closer to the Barb of Rot, for personal reasons..."
Kasmko smiled and nodded her head, looking at the band of heroes behind Fel, her smile flipped itself into a frown and her gaze darkened and she focussed back on Fel.
"You and your warriors are brave, but I think this will truly be the test of your skill, Fel, and the task at hand will send you to the edge of the Barb of Rot, it seems a swamp titan, known as Desis the Weather of Vegitation, has began wandering the wilds outside the Barb of Rot,. His anger knows no bounds and he has killed 30 different people since escaping the Barb. I have sent a dozen brave soldiers against him since he arrived and even now savage goblins and other fiends call the place a 'shrine' as if he is important. Please, travel southwest to Calluscanyon and end this giants life, if nothing else then to help us last that much longer.
The three mercenaries behind Fel shifted, and Asa's face lifted up. Fell nodded and looked at Kasmko, his eyes had fire in them and told Kasmko all that needed to be said
"Excellent, you should leave as soon as possible Fel, but please take more men with you!"
Fel and his group left the keep and he found himself surrounded by soldiers, they were all smiling triumphantly and beamed at Fel.
"Greetings Fel, I am known as Ijam Wipepanted, we are men of the Humorous Union, and we all seek to help you on the quest our lady assigned to you, we wish to eradicate the damned swamp titan, so please take us with you!"
Fel agree'd and he ended up with 4 new recruits, including the swordsman known as Ijam. As they departed Fel lead the way, but and Asa ran up to catch up to him. "You have lot's of soldiers under your belt now Fel, they all look like they can handle themselves, but I am slightly worried."
Fel slowled down slightly and looked back at her, and his body slouched slightly, making him just barely taller than her as opposed to normal.
"You need to be careful when we get to the titan Asa, he certainly isn't going to be a cakewalk, even to any of us soldiers. I don't want to lose any of you so keep each others backs, and don't forget to hold our ground, we can handle this, everyone!"
His last words echoed through the forest they were in, and all the soldiers raised their weapons in pride, Asa smiled and kept pace behind Fel. They made it to the Shrine of the Swamp Titan the day break the next day.
"Shh, keep close. Can you feel that thumping in the ground, he's close, and I think he knows we are here..."
Fel slowly walked up to the shrine, finding dozens of shattered pillars. His eyes darted quickly between all the pillars, and the ground began to shake as the large titan appeared in front of Fel. A towering and mossy three eyed spider with lacy wings. It crawled over the pillars and towered over Fel, who threw his cleaver at the titan, fracturing the chitin. This did little to slow the fiend and it charged Fel, who struck his pick deep in the abdomen, tearing apart the foul moss beasts stomach, tearing apart the guts. The soldiers all stormed the titan and began chipping away at it's legs, with Ijam actually dropping the foul mossy titan. The battle was over after the group shattered all of it's body down to dust, without a single casuality, everyone was tired and the band collapsed on the slaughtered titan's shrine. The battle was over, and now our soldiers could rest in peace, atleast for now...
my first ever titan, slaughtered with a pick and halberd in hand. Fel is getting stronger every day, soon I think he will traverse the barb of rot, he still needs to find the creature that his nightmares speak of.
