Kamuk makes his second outpost in The Frost of Subtlety.
Those masterwork symbols are the camps Kamuk's built. He hasn't populated his map with lairs yet.
This begins to become the standard quick build for both the second and the third cabins.
The night trolls are out and about at the periphery. Kamuk's
shield user and dodge skills aren't up to the task of carefully dispatching anything of that caliber yet. He could hit competent shield/dodge and use the multi-attack combo (quick attack w/spear + dodge away), but having that 3 level deficit to the night troll's
talented level (6) melee/wrestling/dodge/bite doesn't make for much consistent success, particularly due to using a weapon that cannot sever or cleave. The multi-attack combo (quick attack + dodge away) is great for bridging stat gulfs between you and your opponent, but there are times when it can only do so much, and only so often. Kamuk is a worshiper of Rafum the Golden Competition, the goddess of gambling and games, but he's not the gambling type I've had in past adventures.
In the middle of tundra at the second outpost, Kamuk does a bit of reindeer hunting.
Went with the most hunter-like behaviour. First shots from the bow to drop them and halve their speed, or a switch to sprint, coming out of ambush, throwing spears to accomplish the same goal. Spear thrusts for the finish. Makes roleplay sense.
The fourth structure is by the seaside just across the bay from a necro tower.
This cabin worked with the two trees in the area.
This run hasn't involved much dedicated combat, though there's been
some hunting and Kamuk's
skills reflect this. His
attributes are pretty much in keeping with a slow travel ambusher type of start. That strength and toughness haven't moved from their starting positions is due to the low combat time he's had.
He'll probably hunt and what not until he gets to talented level (6) shield before looking to clear the night trolls from the area.
