After adventuring for a time, killing rocs, bronze collossi, cyclopes, and the occasional bandit, Sareve Royalservant the Accidental Focus of Pillars was cursed by the gods to wander the world as a panda werebeast. In a bloodlust fueled massacre he slaughtered his companions and ran off into the woods, where he eventually came to his senses. Stricken by grief over his actions Sareve set himself to the task of building a home far away from civilization where he would not be able to cause anymore harm. It took a week to construct, but once finished was a comfortable refuge from the outside world.

Sareve thought to retire peacefully from his life of adventure, but soon fell into a crippling depression. He died in his bed having starved to death.

A little disappointed you can't retire an adventurer at an adventurer-created site, but c'est la vie.

His ultimate goal is to bind a cute lizard demon master to him. She undulates rhythmically. ;D

That can only end in death by venomous snu-snu, clearly.

Pancaked pelvis along with everything else crushed comes to my mind. It is terrifying... o_o
tfw no broken pelvis

This isn't even the first, second, or even third demon master I've made my literal bitch. And this time I can build a bed for us to sleep in!

Well, this is a new thing...
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Yes, that's a temple with magma instead of water. Never seen this before.

I threw the local criminal warlords head into the pool.
That's how I had my experience with punting someone across one, moving closer to see if I could see them, getting caught in magma mist, starting to burn to death, so in a panic I tried to put myself out with booze, then realized I was just going to end up sauteeing myself or something.

If there is a priest there, ask them about the temples while standing inside it (just type str while talking to pull up the structures prompt) and they'll mention stuff like "allows us to experience the glory of volcanos" with those.

Also seen "the murky pool allows worshippers to experience disease", "the square of pillars on the outside represents order" (though how 4 by 9 is a square is beyond me), "the upper levels allows you to experience day/night/the moon/mountains/seasons/thunder", "the lower levels allows you to experience caverns", "the paved areas represent fortresses", "the irregular pillars represent chaos", and so forth.

It's like a DF version of the empty well hole from them movie 300 so they might as well say: "We just like to make sacrifices to Armok, magma represents incineration and those pillars there resemble laughter. We're a bunch of cruel fucks and now that you know that.. off with you into that magma!".

to this day I still haven't gotten that demonic companion... through binding of a slab. probably because I deal with Demons on a regular from just breaching hell that I feel like one day I could had just convince a demon to join me as a companion from just writing a good song.

My favorite thing in adventure mode is winning a long, tough fight.
My second favorite thing is freeing a fortress from goblin occupation. (It often includes #1)
My third favorite thing is conquering a vault and bringing out souvenirs. (It also often includes #1)
My fourth favorite thing is enslaving a cute and powerful demon and watching her wreck shit.
My fifth favorite thing is martial piercings, the bigger the better. (This is often a result of #1, and with new pain mechanics it will happen more often!)

I almost misread that as marital piercings. >.o

Yeah it is quite annoying, I have this one camp in the southern half of my region, which is a 1 irl hour worth of effort because rivers armok hates me. And the fact this place is like one of those crazy mountain lair type deals at the bottom of a mountsin for fast travel that reside high up.

No, that is not how goblin suppositories work.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Scratch that, it's all my own fault in the first place and I'm an idiot. I had made a regional interaction for good regions only which resurrects the dead. This guy was, in fact, the law-giver of the civilization whom I had killed when I first entered the building. He must have been resurrected and healed by the interaction and walked right past me because I wasn't attacking him. While the village itself isn't set on the good biome, the keep just so happens to be located on the edge of it. So I really was in a reanimating biome. The second time the guy got up, he was resurrected by the interaction again but not transformed, I guess because he had already been transformed once, so he didn't get the healing benefit of being transformed and suffocated from the lack of proper breathing tube.

Still, the interaction picked the same guy twice, and as far as I can tell nobody else was resurrected. That's a bit odd, I guess?

Nope! Completely nude, as is standard for someone having been resurrected.
