I fully endorse giving as many options and as much flexibility as posible.

Personally, I think of sex/gender as a point along 4 scales; Masculinity, femininity, attraction to masculinity, and attraction to femininity. Each of these go from 0 to 1 and any combination is posible. The masculinity/femeninity refers to what one sees themselves as mentally, and physical features I view as fleeting things to be changed like clothes (or a better likeness is tattoos, considering how hard it is to change.).
I haven't put much thought into it, but I'd guess I fall between 0.1 and 0.5 on all the scales.

I heard some of Winston Churchill's speeches were actually written for him by a guy from the BBC who also wrote the old Winnie the Pooh shorts.  He called FDR a homo though, so he's still the coolest Prime Minister of all time.

Anyway, Re: Actual Topic.  I've long wondered if, somewhere if The Far Off Future, census forms and such would have to include a new marker for people of a "gender" besides male or female.  I've also wondered when the 21st century would actually start being The Future.  Didn't figure the jumping-off point would be Australia.

I'm not really sure what to say either way, except that the people who make a big public case for trans-gender rights also tend to be the most disturbing examples of same, which doesn't do them much favor in finding acceptance.  Call me a bigot or a prude or whatever, but on a base human level I'd have more sympathy for the "guy"'s case if he wasn't in such a strange predicament.

It's difficult to avoiding liking Winston Churchill somewhat.  The statue he's got in London is also... interesting.  It makes him look like some kind of decrepit hunchback.

I don't like Churchill. Good speeches, but I can't help but dislike rather bloodthirsty warmongers. And Gallipoli was his muck-up to make.

Although I can appreciate that he tried to avert the West-East Berlin problems but didn't have enough support from the Americans. That was a good move by him, and it's a pity it didn't work.

I'd like to think so, but I hadn't done much ordered introspection or taken any tests. physicaly I'm an averge male (as far as I know).

It's pretty good, actually. At least they research their articles. Wikipedia's good too, despite the usual vandalism problems, if you look at their references. Don't just shoot them down because they're a humor site.

The last point I didn't get from Cracked, though. He did try and work out how to divide up Germany to prevent another problem like they one they were currently fighting but the President wanted to focus on the war more than the aftermath, which was fair enough.

We're totally in close to the future. We're going to have a fusion reactor by the end of the year. We're on the cusp of room temp. medications. We have flying cars and hover cars. We'll have civilian space flight soon. And car commercials totally make me think we're in the future. And diamond IC boards are on their way to super computing use and will make it way to general use.

I'm involved with an MTF. She prefer to be refereed to as a her. And consoling her after an episode of misidentification is long process.

And any good General plans for every possible eventuality, up to and including a surprise attack by or on one's own allies.

Such plans are never expected to actually be put into place, but they're made anyway, just in case.

Hey, a plan to resist a Russian attack of opportunity would have been a good idea.

Preplanned preemptive strikes will always look stupid in hindsight, depending on whether or not the others attacked you first. So I guess I wouldn't know, as I wasn't alive back then.
