He is a pretty damn good argument for abortion.

The opposite of love is not hate, it's indifference.
Based on many of the vile comments I've seen on this thread about Glen Beck it would seem you all must feel threatened by him.
The opposite of love being indifference doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Love is a strong positive emotion and hate is a strong negative one.
Also, as far as feeling threatened by Glenn Beck is concerned: I feel like our society is in fact threatened by sensationalistic bullshit that doesn't make any sense. Glenn Beck feeds into a huge "culture war" phenomenon where actually acting rational doesn't even come into the picture. He subsists on fear-mongering, name-calling, and feeding the sort of conspiracy-theory crap and distrust that divides the US far too much already. I would feel the same way about some sort of weird socialist version of the same person.
I
wouldn't feel threatened by these people, were it not for the fact that a surprisingly significant number of people seem to take him seriously. This is a sign of a severe problem.
Would you kill someone for [50 million dollars]?...I'm thinking about killing Michael Moore...I could kill him myself, or if I would need to hire somebody to do it,...No, I think I could. I think he could be looking me in the eye, you know, and I could just be choking the life out. Is this wrong? I stopped wearing my What Would Jesus band Do, and I've lost all sense of right and wrong now. I used to be able to say, 'Yeah, I'd kill Michael Moore,' and then I'd see the little band: What Would Jesus Do? And then I'd realize, 'Oh, you wouldn't kill Michael Moore. Or at least you wouldn't choke him to death.' And you know, well, I'm not sure.
This quote is from someone who a significant amount of people think should
run for public office.
Also these:
Al Gore's not going to be rounding up Jews and exterminating them. It is the same tactic, however.
You pinhead. You think we would actually be sitting here and saying "well, look at the way she was dressed?" If she were Joan McCain, stop it. You self-centered self-righteous socialist out of control dangerous man-hating bitch. Shut your mouth. We might have bought into this crap in the 1960s because too many people were doing LSD. We're not on LSD anymore we need to start making sense.
The most used phrase in my administration if I were to be President would be "What the hell you mean we're out of missiles?"
He's a nutjob who gets attention because he's the loudest and most scornful of the nutjobs. He doesn't just say what other people won't say; he says what people
shouldn't say, and for many, many reasons.
Oh, he compares
stem-cell research funding to the Nazis too:
And it was from America. Progressive movement in America. Eugenics. In case you dont know what Eugenics led us to: the Final Solution. A master race! A perfect person.
. The stuff that we are facing is absolutely frightening. So I guess I have to put my name on yes, I hope Barack Obama fails. But I just want his policies to fail; I want America to wake up.
Yes, apparently stem-cell research is all about eugenics.
It's plain as day. It's even more obvious if you see him having bought into the "where's the birth certificate" bullshit, and other things that are very, very trivially proven baseless and silly. There is just about literally no way he can be trying to be rational and intelligent while engaging in that sort of completely baseless fearmongering. It just doesn't make any sense for someone who can manage such a popular radio show, and to be so good at riling up his audience, to be
that stupid and ignorant.
