I have been writing a strange book lately, but I need to test to see if the premise...er...works. I have taken an isolated chapter from this book and put it in spoilers, about an abortion clinic bomber named Pahana. Kalki is the name of a left-wing terrorist who lives in exile after killing the US President, he's not really that important. Anyway, read and comment.
Pahana: "Your agents are talking with Kalki, aren't you?"
Director, School of ____ Politics: "The Chinese Military-Industrial Complex and the School of _____ Politics are two seperate organizatons who hate each other with a passion. But, yes, the Chinese military are indeed talking with Kalki. So why does that bother you?"
Pahana: "If the average American finds out that the Chinese state is talking to a left-wing terrorist...they'll be blowback. Blowback against China. Blowback against anyone working with China. Blowback...against me."
Director, School of ____ Politics: "But you are a terrorist too. You murdered people, not directly, but you gave the orders, and your minions did it. You are just as evil as he is, yet you don't seem to suffer any blowback at all."
Pahana: "That's what your intelligence agency says. There's no evidence of that though, and I am sure my group would be proven innocent in a court of law. We were most likely framed by the barbaric Pro-Choice movement who wants nothing more than to promote their murderous agenda."
Director, School of ____ Politics: "Whatever you say. So, let's talk. The School needs to update its database, and you're our only contact. So, your group's name is--"
Pahana: "The Pro-Life Federated Society (Connor Branch)."
Director, School of _____ Politics: "Connor branch?"
Pahana: "Named after Sandra Day O' Connor. There's been a schism lately in our organization, so we named ourselves after the person we admired the most. We're the moderate wing of the Pro-Life Federated Society, just like Sandra was a moderate Supreme Court Justice."
Director, School of _____ Politics: "I'm not interested in your---Moderate? Did you just call yourself MODERATES?"
Pahana: "We are not against abortion. We respect Roe v. Wade, unlike the religious radicals in the Pro-Life Federated Society. Women do have a right to privacy, and therefore has a right to an abortion."
Director, School of _____ Politics: "So, why do you call yourself Pro-Life?"
Pahana: "Because there are also the rights of the unborn we need to consider. Even Pro-Choicers understand that abortion is a difficult desicion for any woman to take. We both believe that America should engage in 'abortion reduction'. But, while Pro-Choicers still want women to rush into this terrible deed, under the mistaken assumption that "choice" shouldn't be interfered with...we want women to have some more time to consider, before actually doing an abortion.
Choice isn't something that should be unrestricted and unregulated. People have a right to do many things, but these rights are not absolute. I have a right to swing my fist, but my right to swinging this fist is not an absolute right, and the government should intervene to stop me if my fist has a chance of hitting another person and depriving a person of his rights...unless I comply with all the necessary regulations in order to convince the government that it is a good idea for my fist to hit that person (for example, if I am doing so in self-defense).
In much the same way, women has a right to engage in an abortion, but we should also try to place restrictions on this right, restrictions that allow women to still engage in an abortion, but hopefully taking into account the interest of the unborn as well. Thus, we form an acceptable, moderate compromise that will--Hey!"
Director, School of ______ Politics: "Sorry, I was dozing off. So...what are you for, exactly?"
Pahana: "Waiting periods, ultrasounds, partial-birth abortion bans, parents' notification, stuff like that. Not spousal notification, that's a bridge too far. As I said, restrictions that protect the interests of the unborn while---"
Director, School of ______ Politics: "Alright, I get it! So, you got yourself a schism going, and my experience in American politics is that schism leads to violence. Is that why you're wanting Chinese aid?"
Pahana: "Exactly. These radical people, desiring to take away a women's right to choose, are already handing out death threats. They are stockpiling weapons in order to prepare for a Holy War. We need weapons to defend ourselves from these religious fanatics. You have to help us!
These radical people has a chance of hijacking the moderate Pro-Life movement and running it straight into the ground. These people want to allow abortion for the first three months, and then prohibt abortion in all cases except for rape or if the women's physical health is in danger. That's just a mockery, MOCKERY of abortion rights!"
Director, School of ______ Politics: "Hm. I'm not exactly convinced, but I know some gullible colonels in the Chinese Military who are willing to lose a couple guns. Tell you what, I'll put in a good word...if you decide to do a little favor for me."
Pahana: "We already have a bribe ready to be wired over to--"
Director, School of _______ Politics: "I don't want money. I want your lives."
