Now, character creation.
Open the list of playable races. Choose a monster.

Open the template file, and apply any templates you wish. Each template applied adds its cost to the experience you require to gain a level. The maximum experience for this game will be 1500, so you can't apply any templates that would bring you over that amount. Your starting experience to level is probably 500 (may be less or more with certain monsters). Remember, though! Fewer templates means much faster levels.

This isn't in the rules, but is a house rule in effect for this game. Every character gets to choose 1 from (+1 accuracy, +1 evade, +3ap) every fifth level. We'll be starting at level 5, so you get to choose one of those to start.

In addition, remember the following - Every time your character levels, you gain the abilities listed after that level. If you don't know what they do, ask - I've got the big book of abilities here. Write it down on your character sheet after I tell you, though.

Nifty. A bit hard to sort through all the races, templates, abilities, and so on, but I guess more options always make things harder to pick up.

It's not especially clear, but I believe the references to "the experience total for most creatures will be 500" means that any creature without a listed cost is 500.

I submit my Character Sheet:

Ogre
Ogres are large, strong, and, if they have a say in the matter, fat. They have insatiable appetites and a malicious streak – they prefer to consume the fresh flesh of sentient creatures, and they believe fear makes the meat taste even better. Their large size and ferocity make them frightening foes in battle, but they are rather slow and lazy, so many have survived encounters through the time honored strategy of running away as fast as they can.
5 react  -  8 move  -  0 fly  -  0 dig
29 hp  -  0 armor  -  2   -  11 size  -  8 sense
(Lv1)Bash (Lv2)Intimidate (lv4)Bite (lv5)Take Down
(Lv7)Bash Lv 2 (lv8)Grab (lv8)Toss (lv9)Latch (Lv10)Slam
(Lv11)Roar  (Lv12)Tear (Lv13)Take Down (lv14)Bash Lv 3 (lv15)
(Lv16)Rend  (lv17)Bash Lv 4  (Lv20)Devour

Extra Head                Cost: 100
You gain 2 maximum HP, 3 sense, and 2 AP. You may purchase additional levels of this ability, but the number of extra heads can never exceed your size, divided by 3, rounded up.

Giant x2             Cost: 100
Increase your size by two. You may purchase multiple copies of this trait.

My Ogre also starts with +3 AP due to starting level and +2 AP due to the second head, as well as +5 AP for the level, a total of 10 AP. The levelling cost is 700 XP.

Character Sheet.

Wild Worg
Said to be a distant relative of the wolves, the domestic Worg is used by the Goblins as a pack animal, mount, and war beast. They are well known for being vicious, difficult to train, and terrifyingly effective in battle. Their wild cousins are supposedly an even more potent force of destruction to their unbroken will, and they are said to carry a burning hatred for the goblins that frequently attempt to steal their pups.
13 react  -  16 move  -  0 fly  -  0 dig
23 hp  -  0 armor  -  2 regen  -  10 size  -  7 sense

(Lv11)Howl  (Lv13)Bite 2  (Lv14)Vicegrip
(Lv15)Scratch  3  (Lv17)Slam(Lv19)Charge Tackle

Giant x2 Cost: 100
Increase your size by one. You may purchase multiple copies of this trait.

Translator Cost: 100
You may speak any of the civilized languages, allowing you to talk with those who do not speak monster.

700 XP to level.

I also take +3AP because of our starting level 5.

They're tiny. The biggest PDF is a whopping 166 kilobytes. The smallest word file is 18 kb.

Speaking of size, does it implicitly do anything? I know it:

-Increases the number of extra heads you can take
-Increases the damage of a certain specific attack
-Makes smaller enemies unable to hit higher portions of you

The first two are incredibly specific, of course, and I'm not sure the third actually provides any benefit- the manual seemed to imply monsters didn't even have individual parts to attack, so unless you can get a chainmail apron that only covers your legs or something, it seems relatively useless unless you're small to begin with.

Are there more posible templates? For example, I dont see swarm in there, and that was mentioned somewhere.

Anyway, preliminary character:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
This seems rather underpowered, but I will probably change a lot once I have more templates to chose from.

Rapidshare stopped working. Would megaupload or zshare be a better alternative?
