Any World Gen experts out there? Need some help..
« on: March 15, 2010, 09:26:52 pm »

I have been working with the following world gen for a long time:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I am looking for the same vulcanism but with a medium map.  The problem is that the same settings error out on medium for some reason and I have no idea why.  It is a great parameter set, but I just don't like waiting for a large map to gen.

Been keeping a log of the world generation? It would probably help establish the main parameter-culprits. init.txt has the option to log rejections (defaults to "OFF," I b'lieve).

All those [REGION_COUNT:___:___:___] and [{world param}_RANGES:___:___:___] can cause alot of rejections.

All those [REGION_COUNT:___:___:___] and [{world param}_RANGES:___:___:___] can cause alot of rejections.

THis. Also, your good/evil square counts are minimums, so if it can't find 2000 squares to assign to good/evil,  it'll reject.

Turn all those to zero, set your map size to small or medium or whatever, and build up.
