I have an actual cold crawling its way up my body from yesterday, so I might be able to do this for real if the release comes soon enough.

You guys don't have your priorities straight.  You need money to play DF (electricity & whatnot).  So, the obvious answer, and the one I'm going with, is play DF at work.  Get paid while you play.

Nah, I work at a game company. It'd be recognized as a game even by people who don't play it. Besides, that's what vacation time is for!
Even in ASCII mode they would know?

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

My manager recognized the Doom RL I was playing at lunch one day as a game, and he's not even a gamer. So...yeah, they can recognize ASCII games.

Then you work with much smarter people then I know, Mephansteras. everyone whose seen me play DF (or any ASCII game) either think I screwed up the computer or are hacking something.

Provided the release is timed correctly, I'll be on Easter Vacation. I asked for the weekend off of my night job, just to be safe.

We haven't had any other breaks this semester, so I think it's fair enough ;)

4 days? Do you work for Satan?

I get a modest fortnight of easter holiday, with most students getting a full month.

I agree with Urist. Steampunk is like Darth Vader winning Holland's Next Top Model. It would be awesome but not something I'd like in this game.

At least you have a spring break that will coincide with the release. Since I'm in high school our district gives us a two week spring break that ended the week before last. Right now the school year is just getting back to the point where the teachers have adjusted enough to give lots of homework every night. :P
