I have an adamantine flask worth about 1.5 million dwarfbucks.

Absolutely and utterly useless.
I bet it could hold liquids pretty well though. It could hold magma!

That would be cool, only problem though, you can't order your dwarves to fill it up with someting specific

I'm not sure if corrosive liquids are in for the next release, but if there are any, adamantine would probably be the ultimate for something that is extremely corrosive.

I don't think they are, but it would be quite cool. Kobold thief steals your adamantine flask and accidentally spills lye (sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide) on itself, drops the flask and flees to the nearest murky pool to clean it off.

"Idolgallows", a pig iron shoe worth 117600 units.

Bloody hell, an iron shoe?! It might as well be a pig iron greave! Actually, that's exactly what it is, only it covers less and is hellishly uncomfortable.

I bet is heavy too. What's next? Lead shoes?

Urist McDebtor: No! I swear I will have the money next week! I promise!
Urist McGodfather: *Italian accent, yes, with the Scotish one as well* Sorry, you had your chance, get 'im, boys!
Urist McDebtor: No! Not the shoes, not the shoes!
*Gets lead shoes put on*
*Gets tossed into river*
Urist McDebtor, shopkeep, has been struck down!

Urist McGodfather: Shit, is this a carp river?! SCRAM!

Because dwarves are goddamned crazy.
So, basically, it is just a matter of luck whether you live or suffer horrible death... sounds like dwarf fortress.

I had someone make a native platinum idol with rings of native platinum, spikes of obsidian and platinum (the bar), and an image in giant cave spider silk of itself. Was worth about 200k, give or take 15k.

It ended up not being useless, I just had it moved to the baron's room and made it his own little spiked teddy bear.

(There is a story behind this. . .)

I got an artifact cave spider silk sock this morning. It's worth 5,720 dwarfbucks, and it doesn't menace with spikes of anything.

Considering the general state of DF, I think Einstein and Newton are already rotating fast enough that you could hook them up to pumps and use them to kill Elves.

Don't. Adamantine is very lightweight and useless for Blunt Weapons/Traps. Adamantine is best used for slashing and cutting.
