How about cluster nukes? No maimed civilians, just a neat crater and a thin layer of ash.

How about a nuke that fires a nuke that fires a nuke?

Set it up so that each one hits the same site, with a minute delay between them. That way, only one needs to be intercontinental while the others might not even need propulsion!

Even better, replace all fins with chainsaws!

Nukes firing nukes is basically Topol-M, or any other nuclear MIRV ICBM.

In what way wouldn't a gatling shotgun be a good weapon other then cost?
Kickback?

We're talking about the defense industry here.  Kickbacks ARE the cost.

Because honestly, anything is improved by making it Gatling.

Congratulations, you made a Chainsaw.
Gatling Chainsaws?

I often like to picture an ultimate weapon. It's a gun that's a triple-iteration Gatling (has a rotating set of 8 rotating sets of 6 rotating sets of 4 barrels) that has each barrel shoot a volley of guided, supersonic, rocket-propelled laser-chainsaw-katanas, that are on fire. And it's usable one-handed.

Now we need to cross it with abnormal ammo and we're set. Hell, look at the picture!

I think there's a resolution to ban cluster bombs considering parts of the bombs often fail to detonate and randomly maim civilians for years after the war has actually finished.

And humanoid robots (mecha or no) are obviously useless for combat, but you can't say it doesn't appeal as a way of getting around.

I like to think of my Avatar as a [SIZE=GODZILLA] animated Teddy bear (if it's through magic or science I have not decided yet), since the "camera" shakes with each step.

It'd be awesome to travel/control it.

Because dwarves are goddamned crazy.
So, basically, it is just a matter of luck whether you live or suffer horrible death... sounds like dwarf fortress.

A pic of TVTropes is not very impressive.

It seems the jist of this thread is...

Make it bigger.
Make it multiple guns.
Make it EVEN BIGGER.
Add chainsaws.
Add lightning.
Add nukes.

And while we're at it...

Add Chuck Norris.

You know those missiles that split into like 30 and all go hit individual targets, we need to do that with the Rocket Propelled Chainsaw.

There's no lightning-propelled flaming laser-chainsaw-katana gatling launcher on those lists.
