I have been reading the OP again, and I spotted something confusing.

As I interpret it:

We can only vote for one person at a time, and our vote stays on that person until we unvote.  We may not lynch vote.

Q: What is the difference between a normal vote and a lynch vote?

You vote for a "no lynch."  I.e., you vote not to lynch anyone.

23 hours without a post.  Is this normal during sign-ups?

Just posting because I'm tired of waiting.

It can be actually.  Beginner's Mafia can sometimes take a while to fill up as it waits for new people.  Once I have all 9, It'll start up immediately.

Of course, if you're feeling VERY brave there's a few others you can join as well, though the rules there can get a little crazier.

I've been thinking of how to play scum without tells, but I have concluded that it is almost inevitable to be found out, eventually, unless you sometimes turn on the other scum...  Then again, I guess the Godfather might come in useful to decrease the scum-lynch-rate.
