Improved Site Finder?
« on: March 10, 2010, 05:57:30 pm »

Is there a better version of the inbuilt Site Finder available? Because that one seems a little... Basic. Preferably it could search for stuff like iron ore, but most importantly just something that can scroll through everywhere that met your criteria rather than just showing one of the places...

In order to improve the universe's frame rate, we must all throw rocks into volcanoes and then do absolutely nothing, worldwide, for a week, to take pressure off pathfinding.

Does it work, as-is, with 40d16? I see that 2.8 claims 40d2+.

With Ultrafinder, you can't do anything else with your computer while it's running, because DF has to stay the top window. And I've found that it doesn't work well with graphics packs. But other than that, it works fine.

I'd recommend fiddling with worldgen settings if you're looking for something specific.
