Fikod the Undignified Hammerer, Champion... Yikes.

I kid thee not. Full title is Fikod Glazedsockets the Undignified Hammerer. He earned his title by single-handedly wrestling down an invasion squad of goblins, but my fertile imagination is screaming for some combat logs to find out just how he wrestled them to earn that name.

Is he a hammerer (noble) hammerer (soldier) or a champion wrestler?

Champion wrestler I think.

The name stuff is random I believe. I once had a miner who I used for cleaning up stuff who eventually got a name like something the vegtative something axe something or other, one of those uber-long names.

He's indeed a champion wrestler. Learning his full title was a bit bothersome, yes, but nothing impossible. The image just struck me: How do you hammer someone in an undignified way? I mean, considering what the dwarves consider par for the course from their appointed hammerer...

"Par for the course" being taken quite literally when it comes to dwarves.

Bonus points if the goblin/prisoner lands in magma or explodes against a wall in a million pieces.

Isn't it obvious?  An undignified hammering is when you have to resort to using your hands to do the job instead of a proper 50-pound lump of metal attached to a pole like a real Hammerdwarf would.  Quite a fitting title indeed for a champion wrestler, as that's pretty much exactly what he does.
