Actually, Dwarf Fortress has a catchy random slogan generator on its startup screen. Histories of labour and blood, legends of dwarves and greed, etc....

I wonder if "Tales of rage and mice" is a possible option.

Silly Kotekzot, mice don't exist in DF!  I doubt rats show up in those, either.

Pssh, those are too long to make catchy slogans :P

Then:

Dwarf Fortress, where being compared to Hitler for your ruthless monetary exploitation and genocide of the helpless is considered a compliment.

Or:

Dwarf Fortress, mod those "elves" into "jews", and your prison chambers that dump magma on them aren't so funny anymore, are they?

Does that put my compulsory miasma exposure in poor taste too?

Yea, use dirt roads to clear off the mud.

Nah, mice aren't in DF. That's because they RUN DF. It's their early-stage Deep Thought mk. II design toolkit.

Better, but that last one ends up sounding like a challenge I think.

So, we're just trying to find the question to 42?

No, we already found that. Now we need to find a new question. We think it is "How many chunks do you get if you divide seven goblins by nine wardogs", but we aren't entirely sure.

Definitely plumbing the depths of poor taste, but...

Dwarf Fortress: All the fun of concentration camps and genocide, without the bits of people on your boots!

This is an interesting thread. Someone asks when the mod comes out, someone else makes a Duke Nukem Forever joke, someone else comments on it, everyone else totally misunderstands what he is saying and spends a page flaming him, and now we're comparing DF to the Holocaust.

Wow. Keep it going.

With any luck, we'll eventually derail this topic into a discussion on effective kitten population management, and it will all come full circle.  Meanwhile, here's another pithy slogan.

Dwarf Fortress: You want options?  We've got options.  Even the ones you wish we didn't.
