There.  I have enough for a 9p.  Would very much like at least 11.  However, I do plan on starting things after BYOR 3 ends. Until then, feel free to switch role/quirks and what not.

You know, thinking about it, I am partially worried that my role choice is going to cause a Hopeless Boss Fight in mafia form.

If so then blame me, not you.  It's my job to balance this thing or, failing that, making it enjoyable enough so that  you people just don't care how balanced it is.

I spent a good few months looking at unique roles and new ways of handling powers.  I've grown out of trying to link a role with, say, a Xylbot role.  The idea is for folks to have something interesting to be involved in.

The rules help.  At this point, I have a good idea on what rules will and will not show.  I'm already playing around with roles and how the rules will fit, though it's just PLAYING to get a feel for it ,which is why I have no problems with any changes.  I won't have to worry about solidifying the whole thing until flavor goes in and some of the more crazier rules get into the act.

For the record, I'm currently working on the roles and rules.  If a change is made or a new person joins, I can easily enter it in (spreadsheet planning FTW!) but either way, I should be able to go right after BYOR3 ends.


Btw, I will warn you right now, the notes rival any game I've ever made.  This isn't a bastard so everything will be made plain and... OMG will it need to be.

The base role are looking pretty nice, but the rules being incorperated..OMG.  There's at least 2 ways for each person to win, a TON of actions that a person can do and a batch of different ways to pull it off, and, if I can balance one particuarly difficult issue, at least one way for EVERYONE to lose O.o.

And I SWEAR this isn't a bastard mod.  I SWEAR!

The 'way for everyone to lose' is NOT accidental loss.  You'll see it coming and be warned of it a MILE away.  It'll just be a matter of having to balance the idea of trying to win one way, win another way, and not lose in the meanwhile. 


Now that I put it out in the open and visibly.. I'm a little more happier with that issue I had.  Not sure how much YOU guys will like it but.. I WARNED YOU!

(note, NOTHING is solid now.  You still have the right to change role/add quirks/remove quirks and people may still join if they wish).  Consider the ending of BYOR 3 the point when I consider locking the signups.

If you try, you can get it up before Pandar, who has yet to set up proper spoiled spectating for iPick, which has been going on for over a week now.
