This is going to be insane!

What was 'the dreaded Italics'?

Haha, it's from Kill Webadict Now: Dakarian Edition.  Just go read the game.  It's that awesome.

Wow!  Kill Webadict Now: Dakarian Edition is brilliant!

It makes me want to think up a game with flavor-text.  Probably some kind of competitive RPG, where all the non-RPing stays off the thread.  Maybe make the rules deterministic, people PM their actions, for rule-keeping, and then they post what happened.

Or something.  :D

If I can find a way to keep going with mafia, I'll bring back Italics into a game somehow and I'll make it work.

For now, I'm pumped.  I JUST NOW finished watching Gurren Lagan (and if you have not seen it, stop reading right now and go to Hulu and watch it.  It's free (legally), it' s dubbed well, and it's beyond epic.  If you cringe at all on the early episodes just get past EP 6 and you won't stop), AND secured some seasonal work that is VERY needed.

Everything is basically set, even what the story will be (no, I have no plans on being epic.  The title of Epic Flavoring has moved on to Vector officially.  However, I will write something, and I swear, I'll FIND a way to get her in somehow).  I'll even push aside SC2 for a little longer to get it down.

This game begins today!  Even if it's impossible, it will be made possible!

Uhuh.  So, if the mafia kills a crucial dwarf, they may end up incresing the chance of everyone losing to the Elephants.

The one I'm kinda worried about is actually Portals.  With everyone redirecting and bussing, I'm not sure if it'd be possible to aim a night action at all.

Rules and what they mean summary:
Do You See What I See? - More investigators
IT'S A TRAP!  - Bay 12 no seitenkan
Leafsnail talks like this, desu - Mod sadism enabled
Only the Good Die Young - Manipulators galore
At least things couldn't get any worse - One shots?
Complete Bullshit - Read the tin.
Damn you, logic. - Random fun stuff.
Dead Man Walking - PLZ DON'T LYNCH ME!
I'm Feeling Lucky! - Roll to die.
It's Super Effective! - Lylo doesn't apply.
Now you're thinking with Portals - Random bouncing of doom.
Pen is Mightier than the Sword - Hope you've been working on a common phrase.
Trust Me, I'm a Doctor... - Protectors don't want to feel left out.
Holy shit this is insane! - Uhoh.
USER WAS BANNED FOR THIS POST - Someone gets to be cruel.
We need a slogan! - We Don't Have Enough Rules!
Wibbly Wobbly Timey Wimey... Stuff - Time Fuck.
Xanatos Roulette - Backstabbing bastards (Vector, I'm looking at you >.>).
Welcome to fucking Boatmurdered - Elephant doomsday.

Quick question - will any roles effect how Boatmurdered plays out?

Portals should only get VERY messy if you guys become predictable.  Remember a redirect ONLY occurs if you aim a portal at the person who is going to hit you.

This if I have a portal on Leafsnail and Pandarsenic, but Litia goes to try to kill me.. well.. I'm just dead.  If Leaf or Pandar try to hit me, they'll hit the other person.  If BOTH try to hit me..well.. that's when the FUN happens :D.

To comment on Leafsnail:

Do you see, actually aims less on INVESTIGATIVE roles like the cop and aims more for roles like the reporter.  There will be more roles that let you find out more about what your opponents are doing and what they can perform, rather than a simple alignment check.

...desu:  Nah, consider it more 'slight flavoring'.  If you have even the SLIGHTEST idea on RPing, you won't even notice it.

Most of that sound either alright or "wrong but I'll let you keep that idea."

Boatmurdered will be mostly isolated.  There's an exception or two but for the most part, Boatmurdered and everything else sits as seperate entities.

Yeah, mafia killing critical dwarrf could be BAD. I can think of crazy scenarios for win conditions, so I wouldn't be surprised if you made some bastardly Xanatos conditions, like "Have a protection redirected through 3 players' portals to hit BUDDY1, saving his/her life"

Vote to add in rule: Back with a vengeance

Final steps:  Send the PMs to the players (they are written)

Write the opening scene (I may KISS this one)

Give Zai the spoiled seating before she kills me :P.

Sidenote:  Spoiled Flavor did not make it.  Thus everything in italics is simply story and should not be used as evidence.  If I write something that IS evidence, I will also write it below the flavor as normal text.

"Did everyone made it?"

"OMG, OMG, those elephants tried to kill us!"

"Calm down everyone."

"Why is it so dark?  Where are we?"

"DID EVERYONE MAKE IT! Who did we lose back there?"

"SHUT UP!"

"CALM DOWN!"

"I'll give you CALM DOWN!"

Suddenly light bloomed from a pair of torches, held by two young girls.  The light silences the others.  One of them nods to the other and says, "Thank you.  Webadict was it?"  Webadict nods in reply.

A gentleman of middle age walks up to a nearby wall, talking half to himself, half to the others, "It seems only 9 of us survived that elephant stampede.  I'm not sure if they followed us, but for now we're..." he's cut off as he notices a sign.

The others walk forward to read the sign.  Some look at it passively, others with horrified recognition.  One of the later says, "..we are FAR from fine!"

The sign reads, Welcome to Boatmurdered.

It is now day.  Everyone is alive and well.

Your supplies.  1 bag of seeds, 1 day of food, 1 day of drink, 1 axe, 2 iron picks, 1 bin of crafts, 1 iron bar.

There are no elephants in sight.

It is now Spring.  Fall will begin Monday, 10pm EST.

The day itself will end Tuesday, 10pm EST

Quick reminder of what you may need to worry about

Many of you have post requirements.. carry them out.

At any time you can tell me who you want to set up your portals to. You can set up to two portals but they can't be to the same person.

One person is the Mod.  The game starts now without a rule BUT once they set one, it will go into place for this day.

Decide on a slogan!

Oh, and get ready for those elephants.

This sounds like fun, desu!  And at least I don't have to skip out pronouns this time, yes?

Vector, would you believe me if I told you my role wasn't Suiseiseki, desu?  What would I be otherwise, desu?

And I think that You Can Run But You Can't Hide could make a very nice slogan, desu.

As for Boatmurdered, I will make our bag of seeds into a bag of plants, desu.
